## What it does

This skill covers application-level performance patterns for VTEX IO services. It helps choose between an in-process LRU and VBase, refresh stale values in the background, load AppSettings at startup or on a TTL, and run independent client calls concurrently. Payment responses and live transaction state must stay out of caches.

It also addresses outbound timeouts, passing `ctx.clients.vbase` into client helpers, and request-level deduplication with `ctx.state`. Include account and workspace in in-memory cache keys when one pod serves multiple tenants, or their data can collide. This skill does not cover public-path choices or CDN `Cache-Control` settings.

## When to use it
- choose between LRU and VBase for cached data
- load AppSettings without fetching them on every request

- set timeouts for outbound requests
