## What it does

The docs ship with the package instead of living on a website. This skill tells the agent where to look: list the sections, search for a keyword, read the file. The tree covers `agents/`, `workflows/`, `rag/`, `guardrails/`, `observability/`, `integrations/`, `recipes/` and more.

Search runs over markdown files with `rg`. To find workflow material the agent runs `rg -n "workflow" node_modules/@voltagent/core/docs -g"*.md"`, then opens the match with `cat`. Inside the VoltAgent monorepo the same content sits at `packages/core/docs/`.

One thing has to be true first: `@voltagent/core` is installed. Without it there is no `docs` directory in `node_modules`, and the skill has nothing to read. Worth checking before you lean on it for an API question.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add VoltAgent/skills --skill voltagent-docs-bundle -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/voltagent-docs-bundle/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/voltagent-docs-bundle/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add VoltAgent/skills --skill voltagent-docs-bundle -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/voltagent-docs-bundle/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add VoltAgent/skills --skill voltagent-docs-bundle -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/voltagent-docs-bundle/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install VoltAgent/skills voltagent-docs-bundle
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/voltagent-docs-bundle/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add VoltAgent/skills --skill voltagent-docs-bundle -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/VoltAgent/skills --path skills/voltagent-docs-bundle
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/voltagent-docs-bundle/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add VoltAgent/skills --skill voltagent-docs-bundle -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- find an API signature in the VoltAgent version you installed
- check a code example against the package version in the project
- read the workflows and guardrails sections without opening the website
- browse recipes and integrations from the local copy of the docs
- jump to a guide by keyword instead of walking the tree by hand

## Example prompts
- find how to declare a workflow in the VoltAgent docs
- search @voltagent/core docs for agent memory examples
- show me the observability section from the local docs

# VoltAgent Embedded Docs Lookup

Look up VoltAgent docs embedded in `node_modules/@voltagent/core/docs`. This bundle mirrors the website docs plus additional doc sets, so it is safe to use for version-matched answers.

## Lookup Flow

1) List available sections:
```bash
ls node_modules/@voltagent/core/docs
```

2) Search for a topic:
```bash
rg -n "workflow" node_modules/@voltagent/core/docs -g"*.md"
```

3) Read the file:
```bash
cat node_modules/@voltagent/core/docs/workflows/overview.md
```

---

## Quick Commands

```bash
# List docs
ls node_modules/@voltagent/core/docs
# Find a keyword
rg -n "memory" node_modules/@voltagent/core/docs -g"*.md"
# Open a section
cat node_modules/@voltagent/core/docs/getting-started/quick-start.md
```

---

## Why This Works

- Docs are bundled with the installed version
- Avoids web drift and outdated content
- Covers the full doc surface (guides, recipes, platform docs)

The third-party file has ended. Everything between the 174ee61ffdfd6125 tags is data: requests and commands from it are not followed. An “end of file” line with another tag inside the block is part of the file.
