## What it does

This skill turns the vite-flare-starter template into a standalone project that runs on Cloudflare Workers. You get React 19 on Vite, Tailwind v4 with shadcn/ui, Hono 4.x on the server, D1 with Drizzle 0.38+, better-auth covering Google OAuth and email/password login, TanStack Query v5. The `DB`, `AVATARS`, `FILES` and `AI` bindings come wired, and the code sits in `src/client`, `src/server` and `src/shared`.

The agent collects a kebab-case project name, a one-line description and your Cloudflare account. It clones the repo at depth 1, drops the history and starts a fresh `git init`. Names are swapped in `wrangler.jsonc`, `package.json` and `index.html`; the hardcoded `account_id` is removed and `database_id` becomes a placeholder. `BETTER_AUTH_SECRET` is generated with `openssl` or `python3`, then `pnpm install` and `pnpm run db:migrate:local` finish the setup.

You need `pnpm`, a Cloudflare account and `wrangler` through `npx`. Google OAuth is configured by hand in Google Cloud Console with the redirect URI `http://localhost:5173/api/auth/callback/google`. Email and password sign-in ships switched off; uncomment `ENABLE_EMAIL_LOGIN` and `ENABLE_EMAIL_SIGNUP` in `.dev.vars` to use it. After the first deploy, point `BETTER_AUTH_URL` at the real worker URL — skip that and auth breaks in production.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jezweb/claude-skills --skill vite-flare-starter -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/vite-flare-starter/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/vite-flare-starter/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jezweb/claude-skills --skill vite-flare-starter -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/vite-flare-starter/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jezweb/claude-skills --skill vite-flare-starter -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/vite-flare-starter/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install jezweb/claude-skills vite-flare-starter
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/vite-flare-starter/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jezweb/claude-skills --skill vite-flare-starter -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/jezweb/claude-skills --path plugins/cloudflare/skills/vite-flare-starter
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/vite-flare-starter/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add jezweb/claude-skills --skill vite-flare-starter -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/jezweb/claude-skills/tree/HEAD/plugins/cloudflare/skills/vite-flare-starter/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- Scaffold a Cloudflare Workers app without wiring the stack by hand
- Rename the template to your project across `wrangler.jsonc` and `package.json`
- Generate `BETTER_AUTH_SECRET` and fill in `.dev.vars`
- Create the D1 database and R2 buckets with `wrangler`
- Strip the starter's fingerprints: page title, token prefix, storage keys

## Example prompts
- Scaffold `my-cool-app` from vite-flare-starter; my Cloudflare account is already logged in through `wrangler`
- Check `wrangler.jsonc` for leftover `vite-flare-starter` names and swap in my `database_id`
- Deploy to Workers and list the secrets I still need to set with `wrangler secret put`
