## What it does

The skill takes six measurable indicators and assigns points mechanically instead of guessing whether the market looks overheated. Phase 1 is mandatory data collection: CBOE equity Put/Call, current VIX plus its three-month percentile, 21-day realized volatility, FINRA margin debt with its year-over-year change, the share of S&P 500 stocks above their 50-day moving average, and quarterly IPO count with median first-day return. No numbers, no evaluation.

Phase 2 scores each indicator 0, 1 or 2 against fixed thresholds. A Put/Call below 0.70 earns 2 points; VIX under 12 with a major index within 5% of its 52-week high earns 2 as well. Phase 3 is the qualitative adjustment, and v2.1 tightened it: the cap dropped to +3 points from +5, and every point has to survive a confirmation-bias checklist. Social penetration counts only with three independent reports carrying names and dates; search interest counts only with a measured 5x year-over-year jump on Google Trends plus confirmed mainstream coverage.

The final score maps to risk phases, including a separate Elevated Risk band at 8–9 points. Data comes in through web search, so how fresh the figures are depends on what turns up when you run it. An indicator with no measured value simply scores nothing, which is worth checking against the sources your session can actually reach.

## When to use it
- score US market bubble risk from data instead of gut feeling
- decide when to take profits on open positions
- tell narrow leadership apart from healthy market breadth
- check whether the IPO market and margin debt are overheating
- guard against confirmation bias when judging a rally

## Example prompts
- Collect Put/Call, VIX and margin debt data and score the US market bubble risk
- Is it time to take profits? Run the indicator scoring and tell me the risk phase
- Check market breadth and IPO activity for signs of a late-stage bubble

# US Market Bubble Detection Skill (Revised v2.1)

## Key Revisions in v2.1

**Critical Changes from v2.0:**

2. ✅ **Clear Threshold Settings** - Specific numerical criteria for each indicator
3. ✅ **Two-Phase Evaluation Process** - Quantitative evaluation → Qualitative adjustment (strict order)
4. ✅ **Stricter Qualitative Criteria** - Max +3 points (reduced from +5), requires measurable evidence
5. ✅ **Confirmation Bias Prevention** - Explicit checklist to avoid over-scoring
6. ✅ **Granular Risk Phases** - Added "Elevated Risk" phase (8-9 points) for nuanced risk management
