## What it does

The skill builds a new Goldsky Turbo pipeline step by step. It first checks your login with `goldsky project list`, then asks what you want to index: which chain, which data, where it should land, and whether transforms are needed. From there it picks a dataset, writes the `sources` section, adds SQL or TypeScript transforms if required, and configures sinks — PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, Pub/Sub, S3, SQS or a webhook.

Pay attention to `start_at`. It is required, and leaving it out does not mean "start now": the backend begins from the earliest available data and quietly backfills the whole chain history. So the skill asks about the start position first and offers three options — from now, from a specific block, or full history. Solana uses a numeric `start_block` instead, and Stellar also accepts a ledger sequence number. On EVM you bound a range with a `block_number` predicate in `filter`, because `end_block` is ignored there.

Name more than one destination and you get a single pipeline with several sinks, not one pipeline per destination. Each sink has a `from:` field and they run independently. When different sinks need different views of the same source, the skill suggests a fan-out: one SQL transform per view, then point each sink at the right transform. This is a builder for new pipelines only — broken ones go to `/turbo-doctor`, syntax lookups to `/turbo-pipelines`, and a one-off REST read of wallet balances is `/feeds`, not a pipeline.

## Requirements
- Works with: PostgreSQL

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill turbo-builder -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/turbo-builder/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/turbo-builder/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill turbo-builder -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/turbo-builder/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill turbo-builder -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/turbo-builder/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install goldsky-io/goldsky-agent turbo-builder
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/turbo-builder/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill turbo-builder -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --path skills/turbo-builder
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/turbo-builder/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add goldsky-io/goldsky-agent --skill turbo-builder -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/goldsky-io/goldsky-agent/tree/HEAD/skills/turbo-builder/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build a YAML pipeline that indexes contract events
- pick the right dataset for a chain and data type
- stream data into Postgres, ClickHouse or Kafka
- add a SQL transform for filtering and aggregation
- fan out one source into several sinks

## Example prompts
- build a pipeline: ERC-20 transfers on Base into PostgreSQL
- index events from a contract on Ethereum and write them to ClickHouse
- set up one pipeline with two sinks — S3 and a webhook

description: "Build and deploy new Goldsky Turbo pipelines: requirements, dataset selection, YAML, validation, and deployment. Use for 'build a pipeline', 'index X on Y chain', or moving chain/contract data into Postgres, MySQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, Pub/Sub, S3, SQS, or webhooks. Also use for data goals such as Polymarket fills/positions/PnL, prediction markets, stablecoin or circulating supply, proof of reserves, sanctions/AML transfer monitoring, deposit detection, CCTP burns/mints, cross-chain settlement, payment reconciliation, wallet history streamed into the user's own database, token holder registries, tokenized equities/RWA, and wash-trading detection. A REST lookup of one wallet's balances or transfers is /feeds, not a pipeline, and so is a read of Polymarket activity, positions or balances. Debug existing pipelines with /turbo-doctor; look up syntax with /turbo-pipelines."

# Pipeline Builder

## Boundaries

- Build NEW pipelines. Do not diagnose broken pipelines — that belongs to `/turbo-doctor`.
- Do not serve as a YAML reference. If the user only needs to look up a field or syntax, use the `/turbo-pipelines` skill instead.
- For dataset lookups, use `/datasets`.
- A REST lookup of one wallet's balances or transfers is `/feeds`. Build a pipeline only when the rows need to land in the user's own database or webhook.

Walk the user through building a complete pipeline from scratch, step by step. Generate a valid YAML configuration, validate it, and deploy it.

## Builder Workflow

### Step 1: Verify Authentication

Run `goldsky project list 2>&1` to check login status.

- **If logged in:** Note the current project and continue.
- **If not logged in:** Use the `/auth-setup` skill for guidance.

### Step 2: Understand the Goal

Ask the user what they want to index. Good questions:

- What blockchain/chain? (Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Solana, etc.)
- What data? (transfers, swaps, events from a specific contract, all transactions, etc.)
- Where should the data go? (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, S3, etc.)
- Do they need transforms? (filtering, aggregation, enrichment)
- One-time backfill or continuous streaming?

If the user already described their goal, extract answers from their description.
