## What it does

This skill provides instructions and recipes for using `@pierre/trees`. Public state and callbacks in the library operate on path strings. The reference material covers the core library, React wrappers, SSR integration, and web components.

It guides tasks like tree search, file renaming, drag and drop, icons, and git status indicators. You can also connect themes resolved from Shiki or VS Code.

When using `@pierre/trees/react`, your project requires `react` and `react-dom`. Install the package itself by running `pnpm add @pierre/trees`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add pierrecomputer/pierre --skill trees -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/trees/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/trees/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add pierrecomputer/pierre --skill trees -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/trees/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add pierrecomputer/pierre --skill trees -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/trees/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install pierrecomputer/pierre trees
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/trees/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add pierrecomputer/pierre --skill trees -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/pierrecomputer/pierre --path skills/trees
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/trees/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add pierrecomputer/pierre --skill trees -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai
