## What it does

The skill works on public video: it fetches the transcript through the ScrapeCreators API, breaks it into segments — hook, setup, main claim, examples, payoff, CTA — and pulls out what can be reused. Hooks and quotes stay verbatim, since paraphrasing them defeats the purpose.

The workflow has five steps: collect URLs or discover a creator's recent videos, extract the transcript text, segment it, analyze the content, then synthesize several transcripts into one report with a table of recurring patterns. Output is a markdown report with a TL;DR block, per-video notes and repurposing ideas for LinkedIn, X, short-form scripts and newsletters.

You need `SCRAPECREATORS_API_KEY` set in your environment, otherwise the API calls fail. When a transcript is unavailable the skill says so and falls back to the title and description instead of inventing text. The author advises marking machine-generated transcripts as approximate when the wording looks garbled.

## Requirements
- Works with: LinkedIn

## Install

```bash
npx skills add ScrapeCreators/social-media-research-skills --skill transcript-intelligence -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/transcript-intelligence/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/transcript-intelligence/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ScrapeCreators/social-media-research-skills --skill transcript-intelligence -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/transcript-intelligence/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ScrapeCreators/social-media-research-skills --skill transcript-intelligence -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/transcript-intelligence/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install ScrapeCreators/social-media-research-skills transcript-intelligence
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ScrapeCreators/social-media-research-skills --skill transcript-intelligence -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/ScrapeCreators/social-media-research-skills --path skills/transcript-intelligence
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/transcript-intelligence/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add ScrapeCreators/social-media-research-skills --skill transcript-intelligence -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/ScrapeCreators/social-media-research-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/transcript-intelligence/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- break down a video transcript and pull out its main claims
- collect hooks from several creators' videos into one swipe file
- turn a talking-head video into a short-form script
- compare what different creators say about one topic
- find verbatim quotes for a post or newsletter

## Example prompts
- Analyze this video transcript and pull out the hooks and quotes
- Build a report on this creator's recent videos: themes, hook formulas, best examples
- Turn this transcript into a draft LinkedIn post

# Transcript Intelligence

## Overview

Turn public video transcripts into useful research and content assets. This skill is for extracting signal from spoken social video: hooks, claims, stories, objections, examples, CTAs, and reusable content angles.

## When to Use

Use this skill when the user asks to:

- summarize a video, reel, short, TikTok, podcast clip, or social video
- analyze a creator's hooks or speaking style
- extract quotes, claims, examples, and CTAs from transcripts
- turn transcripts into social posts, scripts, newsletters, or content ideas
- compare what multiple creators say about a topic

## Transcript Sources

| Platform | Endpoint |
|---|---|
| TikTok | `/v1/tiktok/video/transcript` |
| Instagram | `/v2/instagram/media/transcript` |
| YouTube | `/v1/youtube/video/transcript`, `/v1/youtube/video` |
| Facebook | `/v1/facebook/post/transcript` |
| X/Twitter | `/v1/twitter/tweet/transcript` |
| LinkedIn | `/v1/linkedin/post/transcript` |
| Rumble | `/v1/rumble/video/transcript` |
| Reddit video | `/v1/reddit/post/transcript` |

If a detail endpoint already includes transcript text, use it. If transcript is unavailable, say so and fall back to title/caption/description only.

## Workflow

1. **Collect URLs or discover videos**
   - If URLs are provided, fetch each transcript directly.
   - If a creator/channel is provided, first fetch recent posts/videos, then choose relevant videos.

2. **Extract transcript text**
   - Preserve timestamps if provided.
   - Keep source URL with each transcript.
   - Do not hallucinate missing captions.

3. **Segment the transcript**
   Break into:
   - hook/opening
