## What it does

The skill covers the six EOS components: Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process, Traction. Each one comes with a tool. Vision uses the Vision/Traction Organizer, eight questions on two pages: core values, core focus, 10-year target, marketing strategy, 3-year picture, 1-year plan, quarterly rocks, issues list. People uses the Accountability Chart and the People Analyzer, which scores each person on core values fit and on GWC — gets it, wants it, capacity.

Data is a weekly Scorecard of 5–15 numbers, each with an owner and a goal. Issues runs the IDS track: Identify, Discuss, Solve, asking why until you hit the root cause and time-boxing each issue to 5–15 minutes. Process and Traction are part of the skill too, but the source text is cut off there.

The skill targets companies with $2M–$50M in revenue and 10–250 employees. It scores the business from 1 to 10 by how many diagnostic rows pass, and asks you to state the current score, the failing rows and the next action for each. If the leadership team can't agree on the V/TO, the skill says alignment comes first. Install runs through `npx skills add`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wondelai/skills --skill traction-eos -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/traction-eos/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/traction-eos/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wondelai/skills --skill traction-eos -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/traction-eos/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wondelai/skills --skill traction-eos -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/traction-eos/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install wondelai/skills traction-eos
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/traction-eos/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add wondelai/skills --skill traction-eos -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/wondelai/skills/tree/HEAD/traction-eos/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- fill in a two-page V/TO and share it with the team
- pick 3–7 quarterly rocks instead of a long goal list
- build an Accountability Chart and settle who owns what
- set up a weekly Scorecard of 5–15 numbers with owners
- run a recurring problem through IDS down to the root cause

## Example prompts
- Help me fill in the V/TO: core values, core focus and 10-year target
- My company feels chaotic — score us against the six EOS components and name the weak spots
- Run IDS on our customer churn problem: find the root cause and assign action items

# Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)

A complete system for running a business with six key components. Designed for entrepreneurial companies ($2M-$50M revenue, 10-250 employees) that want to align vision and execution.

## Core Principle

**Most businesses suffer from the same core issues: people, vision, traction.** Great vision without traction is hallucination; traction without vision is aimless. EOS connects the two through a practical weekly operating rhythm that strengthens the Six Key Components of any organization.

## Scoring

**Goal: 10/10.** Score the business by how many of the six Quick Diagnostic rows pass (each component is either in place or not), mapped to the bands below. Bands: **9-10** = all six diagnostic rows pass and rocks consistently hit 80%+ completion; **7-8** = five rows pass, one component weak; **5-6** = three to four rows pass; **3-4** = one to two rows pass; **<=2** = no operating rhythm in place. Always state the current score, the failing diagnostic rows, and the next action for each.

## The Six Key Components

```
Vision → People → Data → Issues → Process → Traction
```

### 1. Vision Component

**Question:** Does everyone in the organization know where you're going and how you plan to get there?

**Tool: Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO)** — answers eight questions on two pages:

| Question | What It Defines | Example |
|----------|----------------|---------|
| **Core Values** | 3-7 non-negotiable beliefs | "Own it", "Do the right thing", "Grow or die" |
| **Core Focus** | Purpose/cause/passion + niche | "Simplify small business" + "Cloud accounting" |
| **10-Year Target** | Big, hairy, audacious goal | "$100M revenue" or "10,000 customers" |
| **Marketing Strategy** | Target market, 3 uniques, proven process, guarantee | Who you serve, why you're different |
