# toc-generator

A compatibility stub: table of contents building now lives in Bricks, and this skill only points you to the successor.

## What it does

This skill no longer builds anything. There are no component rules inside, just a note that table of contents construction moved to Bricks, the component layer for AI agents. Install it only if you want the pointer to the new tool.

How it works: the skill tells the agent to reach for `component-builder` from the `kostja94/bricks` repository. The successor installs with `npx skills add kostja94/bricks --skill component-builder`. After that, ask the agent to build a table of contents through `component-builder`.

The old entry is unmaintained. If `toc` is already wired into your configs or scripts, nothing breaks, but no updates will arrive — that is your cue to move to Bricks.

## When to use it
- find where table of contents building moved
- install the current component instead of the old skill
- switch the agent over to `component-builder` from Bricks
- understand why `toc-generator` stopped getting updates
