## What it does

The skill guides the assistant to assemble interfaces on black or near-black canvases with subtle tonal contrast between backgrounds and raised panels. Controlled emerald or mint accents are reserved for active states, live indicators, and data highlights. Cards get thin gradient borders, subtle corner brackets, and faint inner glow.

Layouts rely on module-based structures with consistent gutters. The typography pairs clean sans-serif text for headings with monospace fonts for timestamps and system IDs. Backgrounds use muted gridlines or faint diagonal textures that stay secondary to the content.

Diluting the interface with extra accent colors will break the intended green signal language.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add MengTo/Skills --skill tech-green-dark-mode-modern -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/tech-green-dark-mode-modern/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/tech-green-dark-mode-modern/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add MengTo/Skills --skill tech-green-dark-mode-modern -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/tech-green-dark-mode-modern/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add MengTo/Skills --skill tech-green-dark-mode-modern -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/tech-green-dark-mode-modern/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install MengTo/Skills tech-green-dark-mode-modern
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/tech-green-dark-mode-modern/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add MengTo/Skills --skill tech-green-dark-mode-modern -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/MengTo/Skills --path agent-skills/web-design/tech-green-dark-mode-modern
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/tech-green-dark-mode-modern/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add MengTo/Skills --skill tech-green-dark-mode-modern -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- structure technical dashboard cards with corner brackets and thin borders
- set tonal hierarchy between dark page backgrounds and panels
- pair sans-serif content with monospace system metadata
- constrain green accent glow to active status indicators and chart nodes

## Example prompts
- Build a server monitoring dashboard using tech-green-dark-mode-modern guidelines
- Apply tech-green-dark-mode-modern to these analytics cards with emerald status dots and mono labels
- Refactor the data panel layout with framed cards and subtle grid markers

# Tech Green Dark Mode Modern Skill

## Use When
- Create a modern dark-mode technical design system with matte-black surfaces, emerald signal accents, mono system labeling, framed dashboard cards, and restrained glow.

## Workflow

## Scope
- Apply this as a full design-system direction across page background, layout framing, cards, navigation, typography, data modules, and motion.
- Use it when the interface should feel modern, analytical, technical, and premium, with green signal accents over a dark operational surface.
- This is not generic neon cyberpunk and not plain enterprise dark mode. It should feel calm, precise, and product-grade.

## Visual target
- Build the interface on a black or near-black base with subtle tonal separation between page background, panels, and elevated surfaces.
- Use emerald, mint, or controlled tech-green accents as the primary signal color for active states, live indicators, border details, and focused visual zones.
- Add technical framing with faint grid lines, vertical guides, corner brackets, tick marks, mono system labels, and utility metadata so the page feels instrumented.
- Cards should look premium and modern: dark glass or matte shells, thin gradient borders, soft inner glow, restrained blur, and precise spacing.
- Keep green glow controlled and localized. It should punctuate key components rather than flooding the whole interface.

## Implementation guidance
- Prefer a structured dashboard or module-based layout with strong rhythm, consistent gutters, and clearly segmented data surfaces.
- Use clean sans-serif typography for headlines and body, then pair it with mono text for labels, system IDs, timestamps, and micro-metadata.
- Let green accents appear in status dots, progress fills, corner markers, subtle gradients, active borders, graph highlights, and small emphasis chips.
- Backgrounds can include faint diagonal texture, technical grid lines, or soft patterned overlays, but keep them low-contrast so content stays primary.
- Use framed cards with one-pixel shells, corner details, and dark inner panels instead of flat generic rectangles.
- Motion should feel functional and modern: masked reveals, slight hover brightening, quiet glow shifts, or measured chart movement rather than flashy animations.

## Recommended patterns
- Large dashboard cards with soft emerald underglow, dark inner canvases, and small corner brackets.
- Header rails with mono section codes, subtle divider lines, and operational metadata aligned to the grid.
