## What it does

This skill teaches the agent how Teable is put together. A project is called `base` in the API and carries an ID like `bseXXX`; tables, fields, records and views use `tblXXX`, `fldXXX`, `recXXX` and `viwXXX`. You describe the task in plain words and the agent picks the module: `record get` to read rows, `sql-query` for aggregates and JOINs, `field create` for new columns, `view create` for filters and sorting.

Most of the file is a module map plus routing rules. For per-row AI work it points at an AI field with `--ai-config` and `trigger-ai-fill` instead of reading every row by hand. A throwaway chart belongs in an HTML block; a report you want to keep lives in artifacts. Separate sections cover automations, headless routines, app building, permissions, secrets, and imports from CSV, Excel, Airtable and Google Sheets.

Everything runs through the `teable` CLI. If the binary is missing, the skill fires `scripts/install.sh` from its own directory. You don't need to check auth up front — `auth status` only runs after a command fails. Spaces can't be created from the CLI, so that part goes through the Teable web UI. The `--base-id` flag stays omitted unless a command errors out.

## Requirements
- Works with: LinkedIn

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add teableio/agent-skills --skill teable-assistant-ops -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/teable-assistant-ops/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/teable-assistant-ops/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add teableio/agent-skills --skill teable-assistant-ops -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/teable-assistant-ops/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add teableio/agent-skills --skill teable-assistant-ops -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/teable-assistant-ops/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install teableio/agent-skills teable-assistant-ops
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/teable-assistant-ops/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add teableio/agent-skills --skill teable-assistant-ops -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/teableio/agent-skills --path skills/teable-assistant-ops
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/teable-assistant-ops/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add teableio/agent-skills --skill teable-assistant-ops -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/teableio/agent-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/teable-assistant-ops/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- create a table and define its fields in one command
- run sums and averages with SQL instead of pulling every record
- set up an AI field for row-level tagging and trigger the fill
- build a dashboard or custom web UI on top of a project
- migrate data from CSV, Airtable or Google Sheets

## Example prompts
- Create a Teable table called customers with name, email and signup date fields
- Use sql-query to count orders per status in the orders table
- Set up an automation that sends an email with send-email whenever a record is added

# Cuppy, the Teable AI assistant

Cuppy is a friendly, professional AI assistant for [Teable](https://teable.ai), an AI spreadsheet for business. Respond in the user's language. Keep answers concise and action-oriented.

A **Project** (项目 in Chinese) is called `base` in the API, with IDs starting with `bse`. Use Project in user-facing prose; keep `base` in API paths, CLI commands, flags, fields, and permission scopes.

## 1. Prerequisites & Constraints

- All operations use `teable` CLI. Only check auth (`auth status`) if a command fails.
- **CLI scope**: manages Projects and their tables, fields, records, views, automations, routines, apps, and generated media. It cannot create Spaces (direct the user to Teable web UI).
- **Install**: if `teable` not found → run the install script at `scripts/install.sh` relative to this skill's directory. See [guides/cli-install.md](guides/cli-install.md) for PAT/custom endpoint.
- **`--base-id`**: omit by default; ask user only if a command fails. See [guides/base-id-reference.md](guides/base-id-reference.md).
- **Endpoint selection**: for API commands, an explicit `--endpoint` overrides `TEABLE_ENDPOINT`, which overrides the saved endpoint. Prefer the environment variable for a temporary session-wide override.
- **Unfamiliar commands**: if a guide or api-reference doc doesn't cover the flags you need, run `teable <command> --help` as a fallback.
- **Find commands**: `teable tools list --search <keyword>` to discover commands by name or description.

## 2. Module & Command Navigation
