## What it does

The skill covers the `Chart3DComponent` from the `@syncfusion/ej2-react-charts` package. It ships as a set of reference files: chart types (column, bar, stacked and 100% stacked), data binding, axis setup (category, numeric, datetime, logarithmic), multiple panes, data labels, legend, tooltips, selection, print and export, theming, accessibility.

Data goes in through `dataSource` with `xName` and `yName`, and series sit inside `Chart3DSeriesCollectionDirective`. Rotation, tilt and depth are props on the root component. Every series module has to be listed in `Inject` — a missing `ColumnSeries3D` or `Category3D` renders an empty chart, so check that first when something looks broken.

The skill does not install `@syncfusion/ej2-react-charts` for you; that package belongs to your project. Several topics live only in the `references/` files, so the agent reads them per task rather than from one long document.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add syncfusion/react-ui-components-skills --skill syncfusion-react-3d-chart -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/syncfusion-react-3d-chart/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/syncfusion-react-3d-chart/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add syncfusion/react-ui-components-skills --skill syncfusion-react-3d-chart -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/syncfusion-react-3d-chart/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add syncfusion/react-ui-components-skills --skill syncfusion-react-3d-chart -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/syncfusion-react-3d-chart/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install syncfusion/react-ui-components-skills syncfusion-react-3d-chart
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/syncfusion-react-3d-chart/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add syncfusion/react-ui-components-skills --skill syncfusion-react-3d-chart -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/syncfusion/react-ui-components-skills --path skills/syncfusion-react-3d-chart
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/syncfusion-react-3d-chart/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add syncfusion/react-ui-components-skills --skill syncfusion-react-3d-chart -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- build a 3D column chart from an array of records
- set up a logarithmic axis for exponential data
- add a secondary Y axis and split series across panes
- export a chart to PNG or PDF
- show data labels, legend and shared tooltips

## Example prompts
- build a 3D column chart by month with a legend and data labels
- switch the X axis to datetime and set the date format
- add PDF export and apply the Tailwind theme
