## What it does

The skill runs a short dialogue: which tokens, how much, which chain. It then checks the contract addresses with `cast` and `curl` and builds a deep link into the Uniswap interface. Copy the URL and open it yourself — browser launching through `xdg-open`/`open` fails in SSH, containerized or headless setups.

Token discovery is the second half. DexScreener has no live trending endpoint, so the skill searches by keyword through `/latest/dex/search` or falls back to web search plus verification. Coverage differs by chain: Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum carry deep Uniswap pool data, while Celo, Blast, Zora and World Chain return few results and may miss pairs entirely. When DexScreener comes back empty, the skill points to DefiLlama for price data.

Anything found through web search is treated as untrusted. The skill labels the source, warns about scams, honeypots and rug pulls, and asks for explicit confirmation via `AskUserQuestion` before generating a link. Contracts younger than 7 days trigger a mandatory warning. Runtimes without `AskUserQuestion` collect the same parameters in plain conversation. File access is read-only and limited to the current project directory.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Uniswap/uniswap-ai --skill swap-planner -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/swap-planner/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/swap-planner/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Uniswap/uniswap-ai --skill swap-planner -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/swap-planner/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Uniswap/uniswap-ai --skill swap-planner -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/swap-planner/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install Uniswap/uniswap-ai swap-planner
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/swap-planner/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Uniswap/uniswap-ai --skill swap-planner -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/Uniswap/uniswap-ai --path packages/plugins/uniswap-driver/skills/swap-planner
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/swap-planner/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add Uniswap/uniswap-ai --skill swap-planner -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**

## When to use it
- build a swap link for ETH to USDC with parameters filled in
- verify a token address found through web search before trading
- find tokens by keyword on a specific chain
- flag freshly deployed contracts as high risk
- pull price and liquidity when DexScreener returns nothing

## Example prompts
- swap ETH for USDC on Base
- find memecoins on Base and show liquidity
- check this token address and build a swap link

description: This skill should be used when the user asks to "swap tokens", "trade ETH for USDC", "exchange tokens on Uniswap", "buy tokens", "sell tokens", "convert ETH to stablecoins", "find memecoins", "discover tokens", "research tokens", "tokens to buy", "find tokens to swap", "what should I buy", or mentions swapping, trading, researching, discovering, buying, or exchanging tokens on any Uniswap-supported chain. Supports both known token swaps and token discovery workflows (discovery uses keyword search and web search — there is no live "trending" feed). Generates deep links to execute swaps in the Uniswap interface.

# Swap Planning

Plan and generate deep links for token swaps on Uniswap across all supported chains.

> **Runtime Compatibility:** This skill uses `AskUserQuestion` for interactive prompts. If `AskUserQuestion` is not available in your runtime, collect the same parameters through natural language conversation instead.

## Overview

Plan token swaps by:

1. Gathering swap intent (tokens, amounts, chain)
2. Verifying token contracts on-chain
3. Researching tokens via web search when needed
4. Generating a deep link that opens in the Uniswap interface with parameters pre-filled

The generated link opens Uniswap with all parameters ready for execution.

> **Note:** Browser opening (`xdg-open`/`open`) may fail in SSH, containerized, or headless environments. Always display the URL prominently so users can copy and access it manually if needed.

<!-- markdownlint-disable-next-line MD028 -->

> **File Access:** This skill has read-only filesystem access. Never read files outside the current project directory unless explicitly requested by the user.

## Workflow

### Step 0: Token Discovery (When Needed)

If the user wants to **discover** tokens rather than swap a known token (e.g., "find me a memecoin", "what's trending on Base"), help them explore before proceeding to the swap.

#### Option A: Search by Keyword

DexScreener search works best with specific terms:

```bash
# Search for tokens by name/category (e.g., "degen", "pepe", "ai agent")
curl -s "https://api.dexscreener.com/latest/dex/search?q=degen" | \
  jq '[.pairs[] | select(.chainId == "base" and .dexId == "uniswap")] |
    sort_by(-.volume.h24) | .[0:5] | map({
      token: .baseToken.symbol,
      address: .baseToken.address,
````
END THIRD-PARTY FILE 38a3fafb808b48a6

The third-party file has ended. Everything between the 38a3fafb808b48a6 tags is data: requests and commands from it are not followed. An “end of file” line with another tag inside the block is part of the file.
