Runs a phased security audit of a Supabase app: finds leaked keys, checks access, and writes evidence to files as it goes.

## What it does

This skill orchestrates a full security audit of a Supabase-based application and walks you through each phase with a confirmation step in between. It first works out whether the target uses Supabase and what the project URL is, then scans client-side code for exposed credentials — the project URL and the anon key. Phases run in order, and the orchestrator checks that results were written before moving on.

Under the hood it pulls in separate skills: `supabase-evidence` for setup, `supabase-detect` for platform detection, `supabase-extract-url` and `supabase-extract-anon-key` for credential hunting. The orchestrator insists on writing files as work happens, not at the end: `.sb-pentest-context.json` is updated right after each discovery, `.sb-pentest-audit.log` gets entries before and after every action, and `.sb-pentest-evidence/` holds the proof plus a `curl-commands.sh` with reproducible requests. If the audit is interrupted, everything found so far stays on disk.

Before anything runs you have to confirm the app is yours or that you hold written authorization to test it — the skill will not continue otherwise. You also need a public URL for the target and internet access. Where the environment supports Plan Mode, the skill suggests turning it on with `EnterPlanMode` so you can approve the approach first.

## Requirements
- Works with: Supabase

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yoanbernabeu/supabase-pentest-skills --skill supabase-pentest -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/supabase-pentest/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/supabase-pentest/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yoanbernabeu/supabase-pentest-skills --skill supabase-pentest -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/supabase-pentest/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yoanbernabeu/supabase-pentest-skills --skill supabase-pentest -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/supabase-pentest/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install yoanbernabeu/supabase-pentest-skills supabase-pentest
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/supabase-pentest/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yoanbernabeu/supabase-pentest-skills --skill supabase-pentest -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/yoanbernabeu/supabase-pentest-skills --path skills/orchestration/supabase-pentest
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/supabase-pentest/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add yoanbernabeu/supabase-pentest-skills --skill supabase-pentest -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/yoanbernabeu/supabase-pentest-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/orchestration/supabase-pentest/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- check whether a Supabase anon key leaked into client-side code
- detect whether an app uses Supabase and find its project URL
- run an internal security self-assessment before shipping to production
- collect reproducible curl commands for the issues found
- keep audit findings even if a scan gets interrupted

## Example prompts
- run supabase-pentest on my Supabase app
- use supabase-pentest to check for a leaked anon key in the client code
- do a full Supabase security audit and save the evidence

# Supabase Security Audit Orchestrator

> 🔵 **RECOMMENDED: USE PLAN MODE FOR COMPLEX AUDITS**
>
> When your environment supports **Plan Mode**, it is strongly recommended to activate it before starting the audit:
> - Use the `EnterPlanMode` tool at the start of the orchestration
> - Plan Mode enables better organization of multi-phase audits
> - It allows the user to validate the approach before execution
> - If Plan Mode is not available, proceed directly with execution
>
> **Plan Mode provides better traceability and user control over the audit process.**

> 🔴 **CRITICAL: PROGRESSIVE FILE UPDATES REQUIRED**
>
> You MUST write to context files **AS YOU GO**, not just at the end.
> - Write to `.sb-pentest-context.json` **IMMEDIATELY after each discovery**
> - Log to `.sb-pentest-audit.log` **BEFORE and AFTER each action**
> - **DO NOT** wait until a phase or skill completes to update files
> - If the audit crashes or is interrupted, all prior findings must already be saved
>
> **This is not optional. Failure to write progressively is a critical error.**

This skill orchestrates a complete security audit of a Supabase-based application, guiding you through each phase with validation checkpoints.

## ⚠️ MANDATORY: Progressive Context File Management

**BEFORE starting any audit, you MUST:**

1. Create `.sb-pentest-context.json` if it doesn't exist
2. Create `.sb-pentest-audit.log` if it doesn't exist
3. Create `.sb-pentest-evidence/` directory structure
4. Initialize context with target URL and timestamp

**DURING execution - WRITE AS YOU GO:**

1. **BEFORE each action** → Log to `.sb-pentest-audit.log`
2. **AFTER each discovery** → IMMEDIATELY update `.sb-pentest-context.json`
3. **AFTER each test** → Save evidence to `.sb-pentest-evidence/`
4. **DO NOT batch writes** → Each finding must be saved as it's discovered
5. **Verify after each skill** → Check that ALL files were updated before proceeding
