## What it does

The skill has two modes. Shortlist mode pulls up to 8 candidates from a library of 142 tactics and scores each one on audience, stage, evidence, capacity, cost and risk. You get at most 5 back, each with a test, a metric, a review date and a stop condition.

Full plan mode writes a 13-section document across the AARRR funnel: acquisition, activation, retention, referral, revenue. It includes a 90-day plan, a 12-month roadmap, an ops stack, an idea bank and measurement. Everything is sized to the client's actual budget, team and evidence rather than a generic template.

Both modes share one tactic library, one scoring rubric and one status vocabulary, so a shortlist later drops into a plan without rework. If `.agents/product-marketing.md` exists, the skill reads it first and asks only about what it does not cover. Full plan mode runs as `/suede-marketing-plan {client-name-or-domain}` and asks for the argument if you leave it out. Progress lives in `.agents/suede-marketing-plans/{client-slug}/progress.md`, so an interrupted run can be resumed. A finalized plan is never overwritten silently — the skill asks whether to revise it as v{N+1}.

```
### Claude.ai
**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills
Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/suede-marketing-plan/SKILL.md
## When to use it
- narrow dozens of growth ideas down to the five worth testing
- build a 90-day plan with an owner on each task
- lay out a 12-month roadmap by quarter
- find tactics that fit the actual budget and team size
- cover search and AI-answer visibility in the plan
## Example prompts
- I'm stuck, give me a shortlist of growth tactics for our SaaS
- Write a 90-day marketing plan for client example.com
- Draft a go-to-market document for example.com — budget, team and stage are in `.agents/product-marketing.md`
Use when the user is stuck and wants a shortlist of growth tactics, or needs a growth plan, go to market document, or roadmap. NOT FOR: isolated channel execution (use the relevant Suede skill), contested strategic bets that need debate (use suede-marketing-council), recurring workflows (use suede-marketing-loops), or positioning discovery alone (use suede-product-marketing)."
# Suede Marketing Plan
Suede AI turns verified client facts (budget, team, stage, evidence, constraints) into either a scored tactic shortlist or a full marketing operating plan across Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, and Revenue. Both modes share one tactic library, one scoring rubric, and one status vocabulary, so a shortlist drops straight into a plan later.
Read `.agents/product-marketing.md` first if it exists and ask only for what it does not cover; see `suede-product-marketing` for path fallbacks.
## Pick the mode
| The user says | Mode |
|---|---|
| "I'm stuck," "give me ideas," "what should we try next," "shortlist of growth tactics" | **Shortlist** |
| "90-day plan," "12-month roadmap," "growth plan," "go-to-market document," "marketing plan for [client]" | **Full plan** |
If unclear, start with Shortlist; it takes one exchange and feeds the plan.
## Shortlist mode
1. Run the intake in [references/tactic-scoring.md](references/tactic-scoring.md): stage and goal, budget and team, what was tried, admired competitor tactics.
2. Pull at most 8 candidates from [references/tactic-library.md](references/tactic-library.md). Category index:
