## What it does

The skill structures repeatable marketing work into bounded loops using a 46-loop catalog. Every loop defines nine specific parts, including trigger conditions, cadence, self-checks to filter noise, state storage for deduplication, human approval checkpoints, and stop triggers. It handles operational areas such as search visibility, ad fatigue, churn signals, and onboarding funnels.

Running on a schedule does not give an agent permission to spend money or publish content. The loop stages drafts, alerts, or reports, leaving live publishing and budget reallocation behind a mandatory human review gate. The cadence rule dictates inspection timing based on signal speed: weekly for domain authority, or every 2–3 days for paid campaigns.

Without an authorized scheduler connector or cron access, the skill defaults to generating the loop specification and manual review instructions. It does not handle one-off strategic plans or A/B test experiments, which require separate companion skills.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-marketing-loops -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/suede-marketing-loops/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/suede-marketing-loops/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-marketing-loops -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/suede-marketing-loops/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-marketing-loops -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/suede-marketing-loops/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**

## When to use it
- Design recurring loops to detect ad fatigue and CPA drift
- Structure automated tracking for search ranking drops and content decay
- Set up churn detection workflows with deduplication and cooldown windows
- Establish approval gates before agents can publish content or adjust budgets

## Example prompts
- Design an agent loop to track ad fatigue and CPA shifts every three days.
- Create a weekly marketing loop to monitor ranking drops and search visibility.
- Draft a customer churn alert loop with state tracking and a cooldown window.

# Suede Marketing Loops

Suede AI turns repeatable marketing work into bounded loops with a defined trigger, cadence, input contract, self-check, durable state, human checkpoint, and stopping condition. A loop may watch SEO opportunities, ad fatigue, or churn signals, but it never earns permission to publish, spend, or mutate production merely because it runs on a schedule.

This is the operational counterpart to `suede-marketing-plan`: the plan identifies what may be worth trying; Suede loops define what approved work should repeat and how public Suede skills coordinate it.

## How to Use This Skill

Read `.agents/product-marketing.md` first if it exists and ask only for what it does not cover; see `suede-product-marketing` for path fallbacks.

Then:
1. **Clarify the job.** What outcome should this loop protect or grow? (rankings, ad efficiency, activation, retention, revenue, referrals)
2. **Pick a loop** from the catalog in `references/loop-catalog.md`, or adapt the closest one.
3. **Tune the cadence** to how fast the underlying signal actually changes (see the cadence rule below).
4. **Confirm the human checkpoint.** Decide what the loop does autonomously vs. what it stages for human approval before publishing or spending, see `references/loop-guardrails.md`.
5. **Schedule it** (see "Scheduling a loop" below).

Building more than one loop, or a whole marketing operating system? See `references/loop-orchestration.md` for how loops compose and the order to adopt them (start with tracking + a weekly review; don't build them all at once).
