# suede-co-marketing

A skill for planning co-marketing: it scores partners on audience overlap and reciprocity, then helps shape the campaign and the roles.

## What it does

The skill walks through partner selection first. Six criteria get a score from 1 to 5 against written anchors: audience fit, audience size, brand alignment, engagement quality, reciprocity potential, and ease of execution. No evidence means a `?` and an open question instead of a guess. Only candidates at 4+ on both audience fit and reciprocity potential move forward, and the shortlist stops at five — the rest land on a named line of candidates not pursued this round.

Campaign formats come in four families: content partnerships, webinars and events, product and integration marketing, and community or social work. `references/campaign-formats.md` holds the effort, lead-sharing rules, and best fit for each one, and a plan has to name its format from that file. There is also a section on making the joint page citable: one canonical version on a chosen host domain, queries built around the combined use case, original survey or benchmark data, and both brands named the same way in the title and body.

One hard stop matters. Outreach drafts get written, never sent. At handover the skill names the recipient, the channel, the visible sending identity, and the exact message, marks the result as a draft, then waits for approve, revise, or drop. Sharing customer or overlap data with a partner passes the same gate. If `.agents/product-marketing.md` (or `.claude/product-marketing.md`) is present, the skill reads it before asking anything and only fills the gaps.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-co-marketing -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/suede-co-marketing/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/suede-co-marketing/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-co-marketing -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/suede-co-marketing/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-co-marketing -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/suede-co-marketing/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills suede-co-marketing
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/suede-co-marketing/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

```
### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)
**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/suede-co-marketing/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works
**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-co-marketing -a opencode
```
### Claude.ai
**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills
Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/suede-co-marketing/SKILL.md
## When to use it
- score a partner on audience overlap and reciprocity
- pick a campaign format that matches the goal
- assign roles and lead-sharing terms across two teams
- build a joint page that search and AI answers cite
- draft a partner outreach message without sending it
## Example prompts
- Score these five partner candidates and show which ones fail on reciprocity
- Draft a webinar plan with the partner: roles, lead sharing, metrics
- Write the outreach email for the integration, but do not send it
# Suede AI Co-Marketing
Use this co-marketing playbook to identify credible partners and design measurable joint campaigns with explicit roles and value exchange.
## Before Starting
**Check for product marketing context first:**
If `.agents/product-marketing.md` exists (or `.claude/product-marketing.md`, or the legacy `product-marketing-context.md` filename, in older setups), read it before asking questions. Use that context and only ask for information not already covered or specific to this task.
## Partner Identification Framework
### 1. Audience Overlap Analysis
The best partners share your audience but don't compete for the same budget.
**Ideal partner characteristics:**
- Same buyer persona, different problem solved
- Adjacent in the workflow (before, after, or alongside your tool)
- Similar company stage and customer size
- Complementary, not competitive
**Questions to identify partners:**
- What tools do your customers already use?
- What do they use before/after your product?
- Who else is selling to your ICP?
- Which integrations do customers request most?
### 2. Partner Scoring Criteria
Rate each candidate 1-5 on all six criteria, using these anchors. Score from
evidence the user or a public source supplies; a criterion with no evidence is
scored `?` and named as an open question, never guessed.
| Criteria | 1 | 3 | 5 |
|----------|---|---|---|
