## What it does

Four modes cover the work: generating from scratch, iterating on a performance export, producing static batches, and a strategy loop. Feed it a CSV or a pasted report and it looks for patterns among the top performers, then builds new variants on those themes. Copy gets checked against platform limits before delivery — 30 characters per Google Ads headline, 90 per description, a 25-character business name for Performance Max.

Batch production runs off an `inputs/` corpus: screenshots of winning ads, customer reviews, comments left under existing campaigns. Wording for the copy comes straight from the reviews instead of being paraphrased. Empty `inputs/winning-ads/` or `inputs/reviews/` folders stop the run — the skill asks you to fill them rather than inventing concepts with nothing behind them.

Budgets, bidding and targeting sit outside this skill, as do statistical test design and landing-page copy; the same collection ships separate skills for those. Product context is read from `.agents/product-marketing.md` first, and only then does it ask questions.

## Requirements
- Works with: LinkedIn

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-ad-creative -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/suede-ad-creative/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/suede-ad-creative/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-ad-creative -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/suede-ad-creative/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-ad-creative -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/suede-ad-creative/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills suede-ad-creative
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/suede-ad-creative/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-ad-creative -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --path skills/suede-ad-creative
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/suede-ad-creative/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills --skill suede-ad-creative -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/JasonColapietro/suede-creator-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/suede-ad-creative/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- write 15 RSA headlines that fit the 30-character cap
- read a CTR export and spot the themes that work
- build 50 static concepts from reviews and screenshots
- check ad copy against Meta and LinkedIn limits
- put together a review page for client sign-off

## Example prompts
- Generate headlines and descriptions for our Google Ads RSA
- Here's last quarter's ad export — find the winning angles and write new variants
- Build a static concept batch from the `inputs/reviews/` folder

# Suede AI Ad Creative

Use this performance-creative system to generate testable headlines, descriptions, primary text, and visual concepts, then iterate from real performance data.

## Before Starting

**Check for product marketing context first:**
If `.agents/product-marketing.md` exists (or `.claude/product-marketing.md`, or the legacy `product-marketing-context.md` filename, in older setups), read it before asking questions. Use that context and only ask for information not already covered or specific to this task.

Gather this context (ask if not provided):

### 1. Platform & Format
- What platform? (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter/X)
- What ad format? (Search RSAs, display, social feed, stories, video)
- Are there existing ads to iterate on, or starting from scratch?

### 2. Product & Offer
- What are you promoting? (Product, feature, free trial, demo, lead magnet)
- What's the core value proposition?
- What makes this different from competitors?

### 3. Audience & Intent
- Who is the target audience?
- What stage of awareness? (Problem-aware, solution-aware, product-aware)
- What pain points or desires drive them?

### 4. Performance Data (if iterating)
- What creative is currently running?
- Which headlines/descriptions are performing best? (CTR, conversion rate, ROAS)
- Which are underperforming?
- What angles or themes have been tested?

### 5. Constraints
- Brand voice guidelines or words to avoid?
- Compliance requirements? (Industry regulations, platform policies)
- Any mandatory elements? (Brand name, trademark symbols, disclaimers)
