# stakeholder-engagement-advisor

Turns one stakeholder into a written engagement plan: the message, the channel, how often to show up and what happens next. Built for the talk before the big meeting.

## What it does

The skill runs as a short guided conversation. Three questions cover who the person is, how much authority and exposure they carry, and the situation you are walking into. It then offers a numbered list of approaches; once you pick one, you get a plan: how to frame the key message, which medium to use and at what cadence, what each side needs from the other, plus a named next action with an owner and a deadline. Expect 15–25 minutes per person.

The method is the Adaptive Decision Ladder, with a few working ideas attached: keep your motivations separate from theirs, check that a proxy really speaks for the group they stand in for, and design outreach for high-impact, low-power people instead of waiting for them to show up. It builds on MITRE's Quickstart Stakeholder Engagement Canvas. License: CC-BY-SA-4.0.

You can hand over the situation right in the invocation. Anything you supply counts as an answer, so the advisor skips what it already has and continues from there. One run covers one stakeholder — a second name means a second run.

## When to use it
- prepare a conversation with an executive sponsor whose motives stay murky
- work out how to approach a stakeholder who could stall the roadmap
- open first contact with someone who joined the initiative midway
- give high-impact, low-power users a real voice in decisions
- align teams before a roadmap review

## Example prompts
- Plan how I approach the CFO before the budget review — she has not seen the proposal yet
- A stakeholder keeps resisting this initiative and can block it. How should I open?
- Get a new executive sponsor up to speed before the launch
