## What it does

\`software-for-agents` is a compatibility redirect for older OpenRig instructions that use this identifier or describe agent-in-the-middle and studio software under its former name. It points to `agent-operated-software`, which contains the maintained architecture and operating guidance.

The skill is deprecated and exists to keep the old identifier working temporarily. Use the successor name in new instructions; keep the former reference only where older material still depends on it. In Claude Code, install it with `npx skills add mvschwarz/openrig --skill software-for-agents -a claude-code`. The skill file is at `~/.claude/skills/software-for-agents/SKILL.md`.

This is a one-release compatibility redirect. Load `agent-operated-software` for the maintained
architecture and operating guidance. Do not extend or copy doctrine into this file.

Retirement: remove this redirect in 0.6.0 after the 0.5.9 compatibility window. Until then, the old
identifier fails forward to the one editable body instead of silently disappearing.
