# social-pulse-monitor

The skill runs always-on listening for brand mentions on keyless public surfaces, triages each mention into one of six classes, and flags spikes against a 7-day baseline.

## What it does

It builds a versioned listening-query set for your brand: spelling variants, misspellings, Chinese names, exclusion terms, and per-source syntax. Then it sweeps keyless public surfaces — HN Algolia, Bluesky, Mastodon-class timelines, public forum JSON, GDELT, Tavily web chatter, and Wikipedia pageviews as a context denominator. GDELT calls need at least 5 seconds between them.

Every mention gets one of six classes: crisis, bug, lead, praise, question, or spam. The class decides the routing target and the SLA. Alongside that, the skill keeps a 7-day rolling baseline and raises a spike flag, which is the trigger input for crisis response — declaring the crisis itself stays elsewhere.

A separate B2B watchlist tracks funding, hiring, and launch signals across target accounts. Closed platforms — X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, 小红书 — are read only from your exports, and their numbers are labeled proxy, never Measured. The skill listens and routes; it never replies. Drafting answers and UGC rights collection belong to `engagement-inbox-manager`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-pulse-monitor -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/social-pulse-monitor/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/social-pulse-monitor/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-pulse-monitor -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/social-pulse-monitor/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-pulse-monitor -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/social-pulse-monitor/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills social-pulse-monitor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/social-pulse-monitor/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-pulse-monitor -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path social/observe/social-pulse-monitor
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/social-pulse-monitor/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-pulse-monitor -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- stand up brand listening from scratch without missing misspellings
- sort fresh mentions into classes and assign owners with SLAs
- catch a mention spike before it turns into a problem
- watch target B2B accounts for buying signals
- show which closed-platform numbers are proxy rather than measured

## Example prompts
- Set up listening for [brand]. Name variants: misspellings, 中文名, product names, exec handles. Build the query set and run today's sweep.
- Run this week's pulse: compare mention volume to the 7-day baseline, flag any spike, and give me the triaged routing queue.
- Build a B2B trigger watchlist for these 15 target accounts — funding, hiring, and launch signals from keyless surfaces.
