# social-measurement-loop

Runs weekly organic-social readouts, locks engagement rate denominators, and splits organic reach from boosted posts. Built for reporting without spreadsheet drift.

## What it does

The skill handles weekly reporting for unpaid social channels. It constructs a metric dictionary that locks the exact denominator for every engagement calculation: ERR by reach, ERI by impressions, or ER by follower count. Post performance relies on medians rather than means, keeping organic posts strictly separated from boosted campaigns.

Earned Media Value (EMV) is treated strictly as an executive translation labeled Estimated, keeping it completely out of evaluation scores. For owned communities like Discourse forums, the tool evaluates community health using CHAOSS and Orbit models while filtering out team staff activity.

Because scraping closed networks risks account bans, the loop relies entirely on manual native analytics exports, GA4 data, and keyless public connectors. Dollar-denominated ROI and ECHO profile veto verdicts are out of scope — those tasks belong to `roi-calculator` and `social-quality-auditor`.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-measurement-loop -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/social-measurement-loop/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/social-measurement-loop/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-measurement-loop -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/social-measurement-loop/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-measurement-loop -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/social-measurement-loop/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills social-measurement-loop
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/social-measurement-loop/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-measurement-loop -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --path social/observe/social-measurement-loop
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/social-measurement-loop/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills --skill social-measurement-loop -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- lock declared denominators for ERR, ERI, and ER across reporting cycles
- roll up median post performance with an explicit organic and boosted split
- audit owned community health on Discourse with employees excluded
- generate a keep/stop/try write-back list for the upcoming content calendar

## Example prompts
- Run the weekly social readout for the week of 2026-06-29 with our Instagram export and GA4 data.
- Build our metric dictionary: lock which denominator each engagement rate uses per channel.
- Run community-health mode on our Discourse forum with employees excluded.
