## What it does

The skill orchestrates a ten-phase release checklist tuned for setups using Cloudflare DNS, Vercel, and PostHog. When started, it asks structured questions about site type, migration needs, language locales, and AI scraper policies.

Rather than installing bulky plugin collections, it queries companion packs such as `AgriciDaniel/claude-seo` or `addyosmani/web-quality-skills` and proposes only the specific sub-skills needed for the verified site type. Each checkpoint tests individual assets and lets you decide whether to fix errors immediately or queue them.

Without `curl` and `jq` installed in your environment, automated header and configuration checks will fail. External directory checks and AI citation reviews also demand active internet access.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/cc-skills --skill site-launch-checklist -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/site-launch-checklist/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/site-launch-checklist/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/cc-skills --skill site-launch-checklist -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/site-launch-checklist/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/cc-skills --skill site-launch-checklist -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/site-launch-checklist/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install samber/cc-skills site-launch-checklist
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/site-launch-checklist/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/cc-skills --skill site-launch-checklist -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/samber/cc-skills --path skills/site-launch-checklist
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/site-launch-checklist/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add samber/cc-skills --skill site-launch-checklist -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

## When to use it
- inspect DNS records, TLS setup, and Content Security Policy headers
- configure PostHog tracking, robots.txt, and llms.txt files
- verify OpenGraph previews, favicons, and web manifest tags
- audit compliance with GDPR and CNIL requirements

## Example prompts

- Audit DNS, security headers, and SEO before shipping to production
- Help me set up robots.txt, llms.txt, and PostHog before release

**Questions:** Ask the user through the environment's question tool — never as plain-text prose. One question at a time, 2–4 tappable options, wait for the answer. If the environment has no question tool, ask in prose with the same options, one at a time.

# Site Launch Checklist

Pre-launch audit and setup workflow for shipping a new website. Opinionated for Cloudflare DNS + Vercel hosting + PostHog + Legal context.

## Interaction style (READ FIRST)

This skill is intentionally interactive. Ask aggressively instead of assuming. The user will tap, not type.

**Always ask these questions at the start of a run** (one at a time, in this order):

1. Site type: `doc-site` | `marketing/lead-gen` | `SaaS-app` | `training/paid-course` | `personal-portfolio`
2. Migration: `greenfield-new-domain` | `migration-need-301-redirects` | `replacing-existing-on-same-domain`
3. Multilingual: `single-locale` | `en` | `fr+en` | `other-multi`
4. PostHog setup: `hogpost.samber.dev` | `set-up-new-proxy` | `skip-PostHog`
5. AI scraper policy: `use-default-for-site-type` | `customize-per-bot` | `block-all`
6. Browser tool available: `claude-chrome-extension` | `playwright` | `neither-skip-browser-checks`

**Ask again at every decision point throughout the phases**, including:

- Whether to install Sentry / BetterStack / Crisp (depends on site type, ask explicitly)
- www vs apex canonical preference (most sites: apex; ask anyway)
```
