## What it does

sim-conductor first assesses an artifact’s type, audience, and risk, then recommends review areas and persona composition. Its workflows cover simulated reactions from external users, internal audits, idea generation, code review, and artifact quality checks. Findings are grouped into M/S/R tiers, and the skill description says the pipeline proceeds through an automatic commit.

A bare `/sim-conductor` starts Area C. You can select an area and pass a path with `--target`; Area D also has modes for session cards, skills, and memory files. Area B has a seven-day minimum interval: a recent report in the selected report directory stops another run. Keep that guard in mind when planning repeat audits.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add chrono-meta/forge-harness --skill sim-conductor -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/sim-conductor/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/sim-conductor/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add chrono-meta/forge-harness --skill sim-conductor -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/sim-conductor/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add chrono-meta/forge-harness --skill sim-conductor -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/sim-conductor/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install chrono-meta/forge-harness sim-conductor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/sim-conductor/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add chrono-meta/forge-harness --skill sim-conductor -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/chrono-meta/forge-harness --path plugins/fh-meta/skills/sim-conductor
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/sim-conductor/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add chrono-meta/forge-harness --skill sim-conductor -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**

## When to use it
- simulate how an outside user may react to an artifact
- audit internal harness materials
- generate ideas and naming options
- review code before a PR
- assess the quality of a finished artifact

## Example prompts
- Run an external-user simulation on `README.md` with `/sim-conductor A --target README.md`.
- Start an internal harness audit with `/sim-conductor B`.
- Review `src/app.ts` before a PR using `/sim-conductor D --target src/app.ts`.

name: sim-conductor
description: Autonomously runs external user reaction simulations, internal audits, ideation scans, artifact validation, and quality reviews. Profiles the target artifact first, then derives task-appropriate personas, dispatches them as parallel agents, classifies findings into M/S/R tiers, and completes the pipeline through to commit automatically.

## Invocation Triggers

| Trigger pattern | Suggested Area |
|---|---|
| "Look at this from an external user's perspective", "How would someone else see this?" | Area A |
| "Check the harness", "asset audit", "internal audit" | Area B |
| "Any new ideas?", "ideation scan", "naming candidates" | Area C |
| "Review this code" (pre-PR), "review this prompt" | Area D (code) |
| "Check if the session card is correct", "does the skill actually work", "memory cold-start validation" | Area D (consumer) |
| "Is the output good?", "artifact quality review" | Area E |

Proposal format: `"If it's related to [X], should I simulate with /sim-conductor [Area]?"`

### Natural Language Triggers

| Example utterance | Intent | Mapped Area |
|---|---|---|
| "Validate our system virtually" | Full system simulation | Area B |
| "Test it with personas", "Run an external user simulation" | External user reaction | Area A |
| "Look at it through someone else's eyes" | External perspective | Area A |
| "Validate that this actually works" | Real-usage validation | Area D |
| "Find problems aggressively" | Adversarial validation | Area B (`challenger`) |

## Triggers

```
/sim-conductor                        # default: Area C auto-run
/sim-conductor A                      # external user simulation
