## What it does

This skill hands the assistant a working structure for Shopify stock tasks: moving units between locations, flagging low stock, forecasting demand, setting safety stock and sorting products with ABC analysis. It starts by reading how your store is set up now and pointing at what could work better.

Expect a current-state assessment, action items ranked from quick wins to long-term work, a cost comparison of apps and tools, an implementation timeline and the KPIs to watch. The skill is a strategist, not a connector: it does not talk to the Shopify API, so treat every recommendation as something to check against your own store numbers. Real-time analytics and automated optimisation are outside what it does.

The skill is in beta. Installation runs through `npx skills add` with an agent flag, and the skill file lands at a path like `~/.claude/skills/shopify-inventory-management/SKILL.md`.
