## What it does

The skill flips two booleans on `ThunderbirdVoiceSettings`: `enableCallRecording` and `enableCallTranscription`. Each one moves on its own, and a preference you did not name keeps its current value. It fits headless and API-driven support, where nobody sits in front of Setup to tick the box.

One script does the work: `scripts/enable-recording-transcription.sh`. It retrieves the current settings through the `Settings` container (member `ThunderbirdVoice`), checks the `ThunderbirdVoice.orgHasNativeVoiceAllowed` gate, sets only the named flags, validates with a dry-run deploy, deploys, then verifies by round-trip. State flags are `--recording on|off` and `--transcription on|off`; with none given it enables both. Add `--dry-run` to retrieve and validate without persisting.

You need `sf` 2.0.0 or newer and `jq` 1.6 or newer, plus an org the CLI is already authenticated to. The manifest version floor is 68.0 — below that the fields are not exposed and the deploy fails. Sibling booleans such as `enableCallRecRedaction` and `enableSipRecording` are left alone and echoed back in the `preserved` array, so you can show that nothing else moved. Redacting PII from existing recordings, transcribing a supplied audio file, and authoring Flow or Apex sit outside this skill.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-native-voice-recording-transcription-configure -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- enable Native Voice call recording without clicking through Setup
- disable transcription while leaving recording on
- configure call capture for headless API sessions
- check current recording flags before deploying
- confirm sibling voice settings stayed untouched

## Example prompts
- turn on call recording and transcription for Native Voice in org my-org
- disable transcription for Thunderbird Voice calls, leave recording as it is
- dry-run the recording configuration and show me what would change

Use this skill when a user asks to turn on/off, enable/disable, or configure Native Voice recording and/or transcription for headless or automated voice calls. DO NOT TRIGGER when: the user wants to redact or scrub PII from existing recordings, transcribe a supplied audio file, or author a Flow/Apex — those are out of scope for this skill."

# Configure Native Voice Recording & Transcription (headless)

Turn call **recording** and call **transcription** for Native Voice (Thunderbird
Voice) **on or off** on an org, programmatically, so the change takes effect for
headless / API-driven support sessions that never touch the Service Console UI.
