## What it does

The skill walks you through enabling the Salesforce Go feature `service-cloud-itsm-teams-integration`. That feature is what gives IT Desk and IT Service agents ticket tracking, catalog requests and Agentforce help from inside Microsoft Teams.

A direct PATCH on the `ITSMTeamsEnabled` preference returns `401`: the setting has no edit access. So the skill takes another route — check the feature status, enable the feature, and let that flip `ITSMTeamsEnabled` as a side effect. Every call goes through the headless-360 MCP server, and API version 67.0 or newer is required. Steps run one at a time; you see each result before the next call.

Some of it stays manual. Registering the app in Azure/Entra and granting Microsoft admin consent happen in the Microsoft admin center — no Salesforce API reaches Azure. The skill spells out those steps; you paste the Client ID and Tenant ID into chat and write the Client Secret to a gitignored file with the command it gives you. From there the skill writes the values into the `MSTeamsSetupClientCredentialsEC` Named Credential itself. Watch for one thing: the enable call may answer `500 INTERNAL_ERROR` while the feature actually turned on, so re-check status instead of trusting the response code.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-teams-configure -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/service-itsm-teams-configure/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/service-itsm-teams-configure/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-teams-configure -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/service-itsm-teams-configure/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-teams-configure -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/service-itsm-teams-configure/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills service-itsm-teams-configure
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/service-itsm-teams-configure/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-teams-configure -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/service-itsm-teams-configure
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/service-itsm-teams-configure/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-teams-configure -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/service-itsm-teams-configure/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- enable Microsoft Teams for IT Service in Salesforce
- check the status of `service-cloud-itsm-teams-integration`
- diagnose why the `ITSMTeamsEnabled` preference cannot be patched
- store Azure Client ID and Tenant ID in the Named Credential
- register an Experience Cloud site as the preferred Teams site

## Example prompts
- Enable Teams for Employee Service in this org and confirm the feature is on.
- Check `service-cloud-itsm-teams-integration` status and explain why the `ITSMTeamsEnabled` PATCH gives a 401.
- Put the Client ID and Tenant ID from chat into `MSTeamsSetupClientCredentialsEC` and set the site as preferred.

# Enable Microsoft Teams for Employee Service (ITSM)

Enable the Salesforce Go feature **"Microsoft Teams for Employee Service"**
(`service-cloud-itsm-teams-integration`) — the feature that lets IT Desk and IT Service
agents track tickets, request catalog items, and get Agentforce assistance from inside
Microsoft Teams. Every operation dispatches through **headless-360**.

> **Execute one step at a time.** These steps make real, state-changing API calls. Run a single
> operation, show its result, confirm it succeeded, then proceed — do not batch multiple setup
> calls into one parallel block.
