## What it does

This skill handles the employee-facing Slack setup for Employee Service. It can enable `EmployeeServiceSlackEnabled`, assign `EmployeeSlackNotifications`, `ItsmPortalUelUserPermset`, and an API-Enabled permission set, then select an employee portal and set `SLACK_PREFERRED_SITE`.

The workflow starts with a Slack administrator sending the connection request. After the user confirms that step, the skill checks the connection through `headless-360`, enables the org preference, and performs supported changes one at a time. Employee Service licensing or permission is required, and an employee portal must already exist or be created separately.

Agent setup and connection status checks are also covered. Some Slack UI actions stay manual. The setup is incomplete until the Slack administrator confirms that the request was sent.

## Requirements
- Works with: Slack

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure/
### Codex
1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure -a codex
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/
### Cursor
1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure -a cursor
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/
### GitHub Copilot
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure
```
2. **Manually: put the files in place**
### Gemini CLI
1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure -a gemini-cli
```
2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure
```
### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)
**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works
### OpenCode
**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-slack-itservice-configure -a opencode
```
# Set Up Self Service for Employees on Slack (Employee Service / ITSM)
Complete the **"Set Up Self Service for Employees on Slack"** checklist group — the employee side of
