## What it does

The skill drives the grid that derives an Incident's Priority from its Impact and Urgency. You can view the current matrix, turn it on or off, add, change, remove or seed cells, toggle the manual-override preference, and read or set the default fallback priority. Every call goes through the `sf` CLI, so it works on any org with the Incident Management license enabled.

Writes are idempotent — a step is skipped when the current state already matches the target. The skill reads every value before writing and asks for explicit confirmation before any mutation. You need `sf` CLI 2.60 or newer, an authenticated org, and the `CustomizeApplication` permission. Incident Management itself must be enabled on the org; if it is not, the skill delegates to `service-itsm-incident-mgmt-configure` and resumes afterwards.

\`Problem` and `ChangeRequest` matrices, Case priority fields, SLA setup and enabling Incident Management are out of scope. Ask about those and the skill stops and says so. Worth checking before you install, if your work touches those objects.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-incident-priority-configure -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/service-itsm-incident-priority-configure/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/service-itsm-incident-priority-configure/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-incident-priority-configure -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/service-itsm-incident-priority-configure/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-incident-priority-configure -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/service-itsm-incident-priority-configure/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills service-itsm-incident-priority-configure
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/service-itsm-incident-priority-configure/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-incident-priority-configure -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/service-itsm-incident-priority-configure
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/service-itsm-incident-priority-configure/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-incident-priority-configure -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**

## When to use it
- enable or disable the incident priority matrix
- view the current Impact × Urgency grid
- add a cell for a new Impact and Urgency pair
- toggle the manual priority override
- set the default fallback incident priority

## Example prompts
- show me the incident priority matrix in my org
- enable the priority matrix and turn on manual override
- set the default incident priority

# Configuring the Incident Priority Matrix (sf CLI)

Configures the **Incident Priority Matrix** for Salesforce ITSM — the grid that derives an Incident's **Priority** from its **Impact** and **Urgency**. Covers viewing the matrix, enabling / disabling it, adding / changing / removing / seeding cells, toggling the manual-override preference, and reading / setting the default (fallback) priority.

Every read and write dispatches through the **`sf` CLI**, so this skill works on any org with the Incident Management license enabled.

Writes are **idempotent** (skipped when the current state already matches the target), the skill always **reads before it writes**, and an explicit **confirm-to-write** checkpoint is required before any mutation.

## Scope

- **In scope** (Incident only): view the matrix; enable / disable it; add, change, remove, or
  seed matrix cells; toggle manual override; read / set the default (fallback) priority.
