# service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate

Reads the Agentforce for IT Service feature toggles in your org through the Salesforce CLI and returns a READY or NOT-READY verdict for the Fulfiller or Employee path. It enables nothing.

## What it does

The skill makes one authenticated Connect API call with `sf api request rest` against `connect/setup/discovery/features/status` and pulls the status of five toggles: Agentforce Studio, Agentforce for IT Service, IT Service Fulfiller Template, IT Service Employee Template and Specialized Agent Templates for Employee. A helper script, `scripts/classify-readiness.mjs`, then sorts the chosen path into READY or NOT-READY, per toggle and overall. The classification is deterministic and lives in the script, not in prose.

You pick one path. Fulfiller needs `sales-cloud-agent-studio`, `service-cloud-agentforce-for-itsm` and `service-cloud-it-fulfiller-agent`; employee needs the two shared ones plus `service-cloud-requestor-agent` and `service-cloud-it-service-employee-agent`. If the request doesn't make the path clear, the skill asks through `AskUserQuestion`.

Before any of that, you need the `sf` CLI authenticated to the target org (`sf org display -o <alias>` should show Connected), API v67.0+ and `node` ≥ 18 on PATH. Otherwise `sf` returns an auth error, `401`, `403` or `404`, and the skill surfaces that raw error instead of inventing a status. On NOT-READY it names each disabled toggle and hands off to `service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-configure` to turn them on — it never POSTs an enable itself. This is step one of a three-skill flow, and it holds no write access.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agentforce-studio-validate -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- check whether the Agentforce for IT Service toggles are on in an org
- get a READY or NOT-READY verdict for the Fulfiller agent path
- find out which toggles are missing for an Employee agent
- confirm Agentforce Studio is enabled before creating an agent
- tell a license problem apart from an unset toggle by the API response code

## Example prompts
- check the Agentforce prerequisites for the fulfiller agent in my org
- is my org ready for an ITSM agent? run the validation
- verify that Agentforce Studio is enabled

description: "Validate the Agentforce for IT Service prerequisites for a Fulfiller or Employee agent, using the Salesforce CLI (sf). The READ-ONLY prerequisite check: it reads the Salesforce Go feature toggles behind the Agentforce for IT Service setup page (Agentforce Studio, the IT Service Fulfiller Template / IT Service Employee Template, Specialized Agent Templates for Employee) via one Connect API call, then a helper script classifies the chosen path into a READY / NOT-READY verdict. It never enables anything; when a toggle is off it hands off to agentforce-studio-configure to enable it. Use when asked to check Agentforce prerequisites, validate the org is ready for an ITSM agent, or verify Agentforce Studio is enabled. Triggers: check agentforce prerequisites, validate agentforce readiness, is my org ready for the fulfiller agent, verify agentforce studio enabled. DO NOT TRIGGER: enabling or turning on the toggles, creating the fulfiller agent (service-itsm-agentic-setup-fulfiller-agent-configure), or CMDB CRUD."
