## What it does

You created and activated a Fulfiller or Employee agent, and it breaks the moment someone opens it: its actions call platform features the user cannot execute. This skill closes that gap after activation, in two write steps behind one confirmation.

First it detects which platform feature permission sets are provisioned (Prompt Templates, Data Cloud, Unified Catalog), lets you pick a tier per feature — user/agent or admin — and which users to grant, then assigns them. License-gated tiers get the license first. Then it creates or reuses the `Agent_Access` permission set, adds one `SetupEntityAccess` per chosen activated agent, and assigns it to the same users. Everything goes through `sf`; no metadata XML, no token extraction.

You need an installed and authenticated `sf` CLI, API version 67.0 or higher, and `node` 18 or newer. No org has all three features at once, so the skill assigns only what is provisioned and reports the rest as unavailable. Worth checking what your org actually has before you run it.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-itsm-agentic-setup-agent-runtime-access-assign -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- grant a user the permissions an activated ITSM agent's actions need
- assign Prompt Templates, Data Cloud or Unified Catalog access at user/agent or admin tier
- create an Agent Access permission set and grant chosen agents to a user
- detect which platform feature permission sets are provisioned in the org
- assign the license before the permission set where the tier is license-gated

## Example prompts
- grant the runtime permissions for my activated ITSM agent
- assign Prompt Templates and Data Cloud access at the user/agent tier
- create an Agent Access permission set for the activated agents and assign it to the user
