## What it does

The skill runs four checkpoints in order: agent identity, grounding, channel, go-live. It does not author a new agent primitive — it coordinates existing skills against a canonical spec in `assets/help-agent-spec.md`. That spec stands in for the official Help Agent template API, which is not shipped yet, so its agent script is the source of truth for topics, actions and instructions.

Work is delegated: `agentforce-generate` handles agent authoring and Agentforce Data Library grounding, `dx-org-permission-set-assign` assigns Data Cloud permission sets, `service-digital-engagement-channel-configure` and `service-agentforce-channel-configure` set up the channel, and `service-digital-engagement-messaging-site-integrate` places the widget. Heavier material sits in `references/` and loads only when the flow reaches it, which keeps token usage down.

Before you start you need Claude, the Salesforce CLI and an authenticated org, plus the MCP servers `salesforce-api-context`, `metadata-experts` and `sobject-reads`. The org must have Agentforce, Einstein Generative AI, Knowledge, Experience Cloud and Data Cloud enabled; the readiness check turns on what can be turned on and stops with a clear message when a required capability is missing. OAuth and External Client App setup belongs to a different skill.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-helpagent-coordinate -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/service-helpagent-coordinate/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/service-helpagent-coordinate/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-helpagent-coordinate -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/service-helpagent-coordinate/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-helpagent-coordinate -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/service-helpagent-coordinate/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills service-helpagent-coordinate
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/service-helpagent-coordinate/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-helpagent-coordinate -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/service-helpagent-coordinate
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/service-helpagent-coordinate/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-helpagent-coordinate -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/service-helpagent-coordinate/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- stand up a support agent in Service Cloud step by step
- ground agent answers in Salesforce Knowledge articles
- embed a chat widget on an Experience Cloud site
- wire the agent to web chat, voice or help portal
- check licenses and permission sets before go-live

## Example prompts
- Set up a Help Agent in my org and walk me through the four checkpoints
- Ground the support agent on Salesforce Knowledge and connect web chat
- Run the readiness check and put the chat widget on my LWR site

Use whenever a user says any of: set up / create / build / add a help agent, service agent, or support chat agent; add or embed a chat widget on a website or Experience Cloud / LWR site; put a help agent on a channel (web chat, voice, phone, help portal); ground a help agent on Salesforce Knowledge; or wants an AI to answer customer questions, manage support cases, and escalate to a human. The right skill even when the request names only one part or references help-agent-spec.md or the Agentforce Quick Setup wizard. DO NOT TRIGGER when authoring a brand-new agent with no Help Agent lineage (use agentforce-generate), configuring OAuth/ECAs (use integration-connectivity-connected-app-configure), or only deploying metadata (use platform-metadata-deploy)."
