## What it does

This skill handles Service Process work in Salesforce: it can browse templates, deploy a selected one, create a process from scratch, activate it, or place it in a catalog category. It can also run the template-to-activation flow. Template authoring and bulk operations are outside its scope.

For each request, the skill finds the connected org’s guided setup recipe, reads its steps and conditions, then follows them in order and checks the result. The actual sequence therefore depends on the recipe available in that org. The org stays fixed for the session; the skill does not accept an org alias or credentials.

Unified Catalog access depends on the user’s permissions. When access is denied, the skill tries to grant the Unified Catalog Admin permission set and its license, then checks again. Another denial means the org needs a Unified Catalog license. The skill cannot enable the feature for an org without one.

## Requirements
- Works with: Salesforce

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-catalog-template-coordinate -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/service-catalog-template-coordinate/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/service-catalog-template-coordinate/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-catalog-template-coordinate -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/service-catalog-template-coordinate/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-catalog-template-coordinate -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/service-catalog-template-coordinate/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install forcedotcom/sf-skills service-catalog-template-coordinate
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/service-catalog-template-coordinate/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-catalog-template-coordinate -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/forcedotcom/sf-skills --path skills/service-catalog-template-coordinate
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/service-catalog-template-coordinate/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add forcedotcom/sf-skills --skill service-catalog-template-coordinate -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

## When to use it
- find Service Process templates that match a request
- deploy a selected template in Salesforce
- create a Service Process from scratch
- activate a process after checking its prerequisites
- place a process in a catalog category

## Example prompts
- Find Service Process templates for handling support cases and show me relevant options.
- Deploy the “Product Return” Service Process template in the connected org.
- Create a Service Process from scratch, activate it, and place it in the “Support” catalog category.

# Unified Catalog Service Process Coordinator

The single entry point for the Unified Catalog **Service Process** lifecycle: **find** a template,
**deploy** one, **create** a Service Process from scratch, **activate** it, and **organize** it under a
catalog category. Rather than hard-coding each operation's API steps, this skill **discovers the
platform's own guided setup recipe** for the requested operation, reads that recipe's live steps, and
follows them. The recipe is the source of truth — so the exact steps, ordering, and safeguards always
match what the org actually enforces, and never drift from a frozen copy.
