# sent-profile-provisioning

This skill drives the Sender Profile lifecycle in Sent: list, inspect, create, update and delete over MCP tools, plus the wider REST flow. Useful when onboarding a tenant and getting a profile ready to send.

## What it does

The skill handles the execution side of sender profiles: listing, reading, creating, updating and deleting through `sender_profiles.list`, `sender_profiles.get`, `sender_profiles.create`, `sender_profiles.update` and `sender_profiles.delete`. Access runs over client-managed OAuth 2.1/PKCE, and the skill validates the calling organization with `account.get` before any mutation.

Create requires `name`, `shortName` and `idempotencyKey`. `shortName` is 3 to 11 characters of letters, numbers or spaces, with at least one letter. Supplying `smsCountry` also requires `smsNumberType`; leave both out and the organization's shared routes are used. Provisioning can claim a number and incur registration fees. Required document uploads block the create before any write, and the MCP tool returns no one-time API key — that path goes through the dashboard or the documented REST flow.

Delete disconnects WhatsApp, releases numbers and disables live routes, so the skill previews the target and asks for explicit confirmation right before the call. A retry after a timeout reuses the original idempotency key and arguments; a key reused with different arguments is refused. If provisioning or teardown was interrupted, reconcile in the dashboard instead of retrying automatically. Profile completion, campaign registration and user administration are not exposed as MCP tools — those live in the separate REST workflow.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentdm/sent-plugin --skill sent-profile-provisioning -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/sent-profile-provisioning/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/sent-profile-provisioning/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentdm/sent-plugin --skill sent-profile-provisioning -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/sent-profile-provisioning/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentdm/sent-plugin --skill sent-profile-provisioning -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/sent-profile-provisioning/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install sentdm/sent-plugin sent-profile-provisioning
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/sent-profile-provisioning/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentdm/sent-plugin --skill sent-profile-provisioning -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/sentdm/sent-plugin --path skills/sent-profile-provisioning
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/sent-profile-provisioning/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add sentdm/sent-plugin --skill sent-profile-provisioning -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/sentdm/sent-plugin/tree/HEAD/skills/sent-profile-provisioning/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- stand up a sender profile for a new tenant
- choose inherit or dedicated resources before the call
- work out why a profile cannot send yet
- delete a profile without cutting live routes blind
- retry a create after a timeout without duplicating it

## Example prompts
- Create a Sender Profile for the Northwind Retail tenant, shortName Northwind, and preview it before the call
- List the organization's profiles and show channel readiness
- Delete the profile by id, but explain what gets disconnected first

description: Lists, inspects, creates, updates, and deletes Sender Profiles through Sent MCP tools and executes the broader Sender Profile lifecycle over the API — creating profiles with the right inheritance, sharing, billing, and WhatsApp options, driving profile completion and its callback, managing 10DLC campaigns per profile, and administering users and roles. Use when calling POST /v3/profiles, handling a completion callback or unclear profile status, choosing inherit or dedicated resources, wiring per-tenant onboarding, or inviting and role-managing users.

# Sent Profile Provisioning

This skill is the execution counterpart to profile architecture: once the tenancy boundary is decided, it drives the API calls, the completion callback, the campaign registration, and the user administration that make a profile able to send. Design the boundary with `sender-profile-architect` first; provision it here.

## Live MCP profile operations

Use `sender_profiles.list`, `sender_profiles.get`, `sender_profiles.create`, `sender_profiles.update`, and `sender_profiles.delete` through client-managed OAuth 2.1/PKCE. Never request or expose credentials. Validate the calling organization with `account.get` before a mutation.

These tools operate under the authenticated organization. The target argument is `id`, not `profileId`; no `sender_profiles.*` tool accepts an acting `profileId`. Profile grants own no child profiles and receive an empty list. Reauthorize with organization scope to manage its profiles.

- **List/get:** list uses `page` (1-based) and `pageSize` (1-100, default 20) and reports channel readiness. Use real IDs from that list. Get returns `found`/`item`; `found: false` does not distinguish nonexistent, deleted, and another organization's profile. Do not infer cross-tenant existence.
