## What it does

This skill takes YouTube channel URLs or handles, runs `apidojo~youtube-channel-scraper` on Apify, and returns channel-level data. Results can include the channel name, subscriber total, views, video count, country, join date, description, URL, and recent videos. Search settings cover keywords, language, country, upload date, duration, features, sorting, and result limits.

The main path uses `scripts/run_actor.js`, which starts the actor, waits for completion, then prints a table or saves CSV and JSON output. The instructions also cover Apify MCP and a REST API fallback. Set `APIFY_TOKEN` in the environment or in `.env` before running; without it, the actor cannot be started. Hidden subscriber totals come back as `null`, while age-restricted channels may return partial metadata.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill scraping-youtube-channel-data -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scraping-youtube-channel-data/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scraping-youtube-channel-data/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill scraping-youtube-channel-data -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scraping-youtube-channel-data/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill scraping-youtube-channel-data -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scraping-youtube-channel-data/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install apidojo-io/apidojo-skills scraping-youtube-channel-data
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scraping-youtube-channel-data/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill scraping-youtube-channel-data -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --path skills/primitives/scraping-youtube-channel-data
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scraping-youtube-channel-data/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add apidojo-io/apidojo-skills --skill scraping-youtube-channel-data -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
