## What it does

The skill guides an AI agent through asset generation via the MCP protocol across 500+ models. It handles images, audio, and 3D meshes. The workflow starts with finding a model through `recommend` or `search`, inspecting fields with `model_schema_get`, and triggering runs via `model_run`. Waiting happens through `jobs_wait`. Looping `job_get` is explicitly banned.

Scope resolution must happen before any creative call. The agent calls `teams_list` first, followed by `projects_list`, and passes `team_id` alongside `project_id` on every subsequent payload. The remote server only auto-fills scope for read actions when exactly one target exists. Missing this pair causes the most frequent errors.

Models with `runs_as` set to `lora` require special handling. You cannot pass their identifier directly to `model_run`. The call must target the base model and merge LoRA arguments from the schema. Running `dry_run: true` checks Creative Units pricing before burning quota.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/scenario/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- generate game assets, textures, and 3D meshes over MCP
- pick appropriate generation models from prompt descriptions
- estimate creative unit costs before executing generation jobs
- wait for rendering tasks without polling status endpoints manually
- run LoRA models by mapping base model parameters correctly

## Example prompts
- Find a suitable Scenario model for generating a pixel art sword and fetch its schema
- Run a concept art generation with dry_run to check credit usage first
- Resolve team and project IDs in Scenario before creating game textures

# Scenario

## Overview

Scenario generates images, video, 3D, and audio across 500+ models, plus custom training, all
through the core loop below.

## Setup

- Endpoint: `https://mcp.scenario.com/mcp` (Streamable HTTP). Prefer OAuth: no credentials pass
  through the conversation.
- Client config, headless API-key setup, and per-client re-authentication:
  [references/setup.md](references/setup.md).
- Never ask an agent to collect, encode, or echo a secret.
- A connection that authenticated once and now fails: re-authenticate its client before debugging
  anything else. `diagnostics_run` names the failing layer (`auth`, `tenant-scope`,
  `api-unreachable`, or `healthy`).

Tools come in two kinds:

- **Direct**: the loop below, plus `asset_get`, `job_get`, `jobs_list`, and `models_list`.
  `?toolsets=full` exposes everything.
- **Catalog**: the rest (collections, tagging, analysis, training, members, keys).
  - `scenario_tools_search` takes only `query` (a tool name or keywords) and `limit`. It returns the
    schema and the lane.
  - `scenario_tool_execute_read` / `write` / `delete` runs the tool with `{name, parameters}`.
  - Every input goes inside `parameters`, scope ids and `dry_run` included. Nearly every catalog
    tool declares scope ids; `plan_generation` takes only `description`.
  - Direct tools take scope, and `model_run` its `dry_run`, at top level.
  - The executor drops a misplaced key silently: `arguments` surfaces as a false scope error, and a
    top-level `dry_run` runs the job, billed.
  - The lane is the result's own `permission`, not the verb: `asset_download` and `asset_analyze`
    are write-class.

## Scope first

- Resolve scope first, then pass `team_id` and `project_id` on every call.
- `teams_list` returns the teams with their projects. `projects_list` needs a `team_id`, so it
  cannot come first.
- Confirm the pair with the user: a guess writes into someone else's project. Unattended, take the
  pair from the task; if it names none, stop and list the choices.
- The server fills scope only for read-only tools with one candidate left. Anything else fails, and
  the error names the wrong half.
- Scope errors are the most common failure. They surface on the first call that drops the pair once
  a second team or project is in play.
