## What it does

This skill covers Alibaba's Wan family on Scenario. Every job maps to its own member: text to video, animating a still, extending a clip, restyling footage, motion transfer, person replacement, aspect ratio changes, canvas expansion. Parameters do not carry across generations, so start with `search` and treat `model_schema_get` as the contract before each run.

The field names differ more than the numbers. The 2.7 generators take `resolution` and whole-second `duration` from 2 to 15, while 2.6 and 2.5 T2V take a single `size` string like `"1920*1080"` with a fixed duration grid. On 2.7 I2V, `image` and `video` are mutually exclusive, and `endImage` is valid only alongside `image`. Resolution and duration drive cost, so a `dry_run` before a batch is worth the extra call.

Audio on 2.7 is always present: either an uploaded file or a track generated from what the prompt describes. On 2.6 and 2.5 it comes only from an upload. Reframe and Outpainting will not match the source length until `matchInputNumFrames` and `matchInputFramesPerSecond` are set — both default to false, which is the thing to check first. Multi-shot prompts work on 2.6 alone, and only while `enablePromptExpansion` is on.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-wan -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-wan/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-wan/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-wan -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-wan/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-wan -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-wan/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-wan
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-wan/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-wan -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-wan
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-wan/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-wan -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/scenario-wan/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- generate a video from a written scene description
- animate a still image with a motion prompt
- bracket a clip between a first and last frame
- extend an existing clip
- reframe footage or expand the canvas

## Example prompts
- Turn this still into a video: she turns and walks to the door, slow push-in
- Expand the canvas of this clip on the left and right, continue the street
- Write a multi-shot prompt for 2.6: global style line, then Shot 1 [0-3s] and Shot 2 [3-7s]

# Scenario Wan Video

## Overview

Wan, Alibaba's video family on Scenario, ships each job as its own member, and members a generation
apart disagree on parameter names, not just numbers: pick the member with `search`, then treat
`model_schema_get` as the contract before every run. Wan 2.7 Image is an image model, covered by the
`scenario-image` skill.

Connection and the core loop: see the `scenario` skill in this repo; model-agnostic video work: the
`scenario-video` skill. If a sibling skill named here is missing from your available skills, ask the
user to install it (`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`); unattended, proceed from
tool schemas and flag the gap.

## Quick reference

Members by job (at authoring time):

| Character performs a video's motion | 2.2 Animate (Move)    | `imageUrl` + `videoUrl`               |
| Swap the person in footage          | 2.2 Animate (Replace) | `videoUrl` + `imageUrl`               |

Parameters do not port across generations. At authoring time: the 2.7 generators take `resolution`
