## What it does

This skill manages image workflows for the ByteDance Seedream family on Scenario through MCP. The suite covers 5.0 Pro, Lite, Flash, and 4.5 for generation, plus Layerize to split images. Live schemas guide each run through search and model_schema_get.

Drafting on Flash or Lite keeps credit costs low before committing to Pro. Pro costs significantly more. It draws legible text right inside the image when quotes are specified directly in the prompt. Flash preserves transparent backgrounds when background: "transparent" is passed with a single PNG reference. Layerize decomposes a flat image into a base layer and transparent cutouts.

Checking transparency locally relies on Pillow. Missing companion skills can be added with npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-seedream -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-seedream/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-seedream/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-seedream -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-seedream/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-seedream -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-seedream/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-seedream
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-seedream/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-seedream -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-seedream
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-seedream/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-seedream -a opencode
```

## When to use it
- generate posters with exact in-image typography and non-Latin scripts using Seedream 5.0 Pro
- decompose a flat composition into transparent PNG layers with Layerize
- restyle sprites while preserving their transparent background using Flash
- produce a batch of related images in a single sequence run

## Example prompts
- Generate a poster using Seedream 5.0 Pro with the headline "EXPO" across the top and date line at the foot
- Split poster.png into separate transparent PNG layers using Layerize
- Recolor sprite.png using Seedream Flash and keep its alpha channel intact with background: "transparent"

# Scenario Seedream Images

## Overview

Seedream, ByteDance's image family on Scenario, spans generation, reference-driven editing, and one
member that only takes images apart: Layerize splits a finished image into editable layers. The
members agree on little else, so discover them with `search` and read `model_schema_get` before
every run.

Connection and the core loop: see the `scenario` skill; model-agnostic image work: the
`scenario-image` skill. If a sibling skill named here is missing from your available skills, ask the
user to install it (`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`); unattended, proceed from
tool schemas and flag the gap.
