## What it does

The skill covers the whole lifecycle of a named identity in Scenario. It starts with an interview: what the thing is, silhouette and proportions, palette by name or hex, two or three signature details, rendering style, and which views the set needs. Those answers become the must-not-change enumeration that every later image restates.

Then comes the hero image — a neutral full view on a plain background, nothing extra in frame. It goes through the gate in `scenario-quality-gate` with a round cap fixed up front, three by default. Already have art? Generation is skipped and your drawing or photo becomes the uploaded anchor. Approved shots land in a collection named `character: <name>` or `props: <name>` via `collection_create` and `collection_add_assets`. Only gated images get in, because every future run samples that pool as reference truth — one off-model member poisons every pull after it.

The character sheet is assembly, not generation: Grid Maker (`model_scenario-grid-maker`) packs approved shots into one image, and the order of the `images` array is the layout. Rebuild the sheet after membership changes instead of editing it. Connection and look-holding live in the sibling skills `scenario` and `scenario-consistency`; if they are missing, the skill asks you to install them.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-identity-library -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-identity-library/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-identity-library/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-identity-library -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-identity-library/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-identity-library -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-identity-library/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-identity-library
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-identity-library/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-identity-library -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-identity-library
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-identity-library/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-identity-library -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/scenario-identity-library/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build an approved image library for a character
- keep a hero recognizable across every generated shot
- assemble a turnaround sheet from accepted images
- generate new views on top of an existing anchor
- redo a design after a wardrobe or age change

## Example prompts
- create a new character from a brief: courier robot, copper shell, cracked headlamp
- assemble a character sheet from Nima's approved shots
- generate more images of this character in profile

# Scenario Identity Library

## Overview

A game or brand runs on named identities: characters and props that must stay recognizable in every
image that ships. This skill runs that lifecycle end to end: interview a brief, generate and gate a
hero image, file approved shots in a named collection, assemble a sheet, and pull the library back
out for new images. The per-image mechanics live in siblings and are not repeated here: connection
and the core loop in `scenario`, holding a look with references in `scenario-consistency`, pass/fail
verdicts in `scenario-quality-gate`. If a sibling skill named here is missing from your available
skills, ask the user to install it (`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`);
unattended, proceed from tool schemas and flag the gap.
