## What it does

The skill splits its modes across four single-purpose models: Video 1.5 handles text and first-frame generation, R2V carries identity through references, Edit Video restyles clips by prompt, and Extend Video continues from the last frame. Picking the member is picking the mode, so run `search` first and treat `model_schema_get` as the contract for caps and defaults.

Caps differ per member. At authoring time 1080p existed only on Video 1.5's text and first-frame modes; R2V stopped at 720p and defaulted to 480p silently. Extend adds 2 to 10 new seconds, Edit Video preprocesses the source down to 8.7 seconds at 720p. No seed, negative prompt, or camera parameter exists anywhere in the family.

Audio is prompted, not switched. Generation members produce native sound, and an unaddressed track tends toward generic background music, so end every prompt with named sounds or the phrase "no music". Dialogue written in quotes with a delivery verb lip-syncs. The `scenario` skill from the same repo handles connection and asset uploads; without it you build the loop from raw tool schemas.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-grok-imagine-video -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-grok-imagine-video/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-grok-imagine-video/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-grok-imagine-video -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-grok-imagine-video/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-grok-imagine-video -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-grok-imagine-video/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-grok-imagine-video
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-grok-imagine-video/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-grok-imagine-video -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-grok-imagine-video
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-grok-imagine-video/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-grok-imagine-video -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/scenario-grok-imagine-video/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- generate video from a text prompt
- animate a still while locking the first frame's composition
- keep a person, product, or outfit consistent across shots via references
- edit an existing clip by describing only the changes
- extend a clip from its last frame with new seconds

## Example prompts
- generate a video: a knight on a cliff lowers her sword and says "It ends tonight", slow dolly-in, wind lifts her cloak, audio: wind, distant thunder, no music
- animate this still, keep the first frame exactly as the image, duration 8, resolution 1080p
- extend this clip: the shot continues, she turns to the window, same light and cast, audio: rain on glass, distant traffic

# Scenario Grok Imagine Video

## Overview

Grok Imagine, xAI's video family on Scenario, splits its modes across single-purpose members: text
and first-frame generation, reference-to-video, prompt editing, and clip extension each live in
their own model, so picking the member is picking the mode. Discover them with `search` and treat
`model_schema_get` as the contract: members agree on prompt style and disagree on every cap. The
Grok Imagine image models belong to the `scenario-grok-imagine-image` skill.

Connection and the core loop: see the `scenario` skill in this repo; model-agnostic video work: the
`scenario-video` skill. If a sibling skill named here is missing from your available skills, ask the
user to install it (`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`); unattended, proceed from
tool schemas and flag the gap.

## Quick reference

Pick the member by intent (input names from the live schema):

| Intent                   | Member        | Inputs                                                     |
| ------------------------ | ------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| Text-to-video            | Video 1.5     | `prompt` alone; `aspectRatio` auto lands on 16:9           |
| Animate a still          | Video 1.5     | `image` + `prompt`; auto follows the image ratio           |
| Identity, opening free   | Video 1.5 R2V | `referenceImages` + `prompt` tagging `@image1`             |
| Restyle or swap in place | Edit Video | `video` + a prompt naming only the changes |
```
