## What it does

The skill lays out the loop for Scenario MCP: find a model for the asset type with `recommend`, read its schema with `model_schema_get`, run `model_run`, wait on `jobs_wait`, then pull the file with `asset_download` as PNG. Model IDs are never hardcoded because each team's catalog differs — you pick from what `recommend` returns. It advises pricing a batch with `dry_run=true` first and launching in waves with `wait=false`.

Transparency gets its own section. Prefer a generator that outputs alpha natively; only fall back to a separate background-removal pass, which is billed per asset. For style consistency the skill suggests reusing one `seed`, turning the prompt-expansion flag off, and passing references through `upload_asset` as asset IDs rather than local paths. A locked-in project style means training a LoRA, covered by the sibling `scenario-model-training` skill.

There is a section on prepping a reference for a variation batch. Crop to the object's own bounds: transparent padding reads as composition and every run drifts in scale and offset. Strip baked effects like drop shadows or glows before generating and re-apply them in the engine. If a sibling skill named in the text is missing, ask the user to install it with `npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`; unattended, the agent works from tool schemas and flags the gap.

## Requirements
- Works with: Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-game-assets -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-game-assets/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-game-assets/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-game-assets -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-game-assets/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-game-assets -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-game-assets/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-game-assets
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-game-assets/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-game-assets -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-game-assets
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-game-assets/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-game-assets -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/scenario-game-assets/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- generate a style-matched potion icon set
- build a tileset with terrain transitions
- get a sprite with a transparent background in one pass
- split a painted background into parallax planes
- export assets as PNG for Unity, Godot or Unreal

## Example prompts
- generate four style-matched potion icons with transparent backgrounds for an RPG inventory
- make a grass tileset with autotile transitions to sand
- prepare three parallax layers for a side-scroller

# Scenario Game Assets

## Overview

Scenario's public catalog carries purpose-trained models per asset type (sprites, icons, props,
tilesets, isometric scenes, pixel art, concept art) plus utilities for background removal,
upscaling, and pixel cleanup. Discover by asset type, inspect the schema, generate, post-process,
export. A sheet whose cells are one character's animation frames, and any walk cycle, loop, or GIF,
belongs to `scenario-sprite-animation`. Connection and core loop: see the `scenario` skill. If a
sibling skill named here is missing from your available skills, ask the user to install it
(`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`); unattended, proceed from tool schemas and
flag the gap.

## Quick reference

| Task                       | Call                                                                                                                                               |
| -------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Find a model by asset type | `recommend` with the asset need in the user's own words (sprite, game icon, tileset, isometric, pixel art); `search` is for a member known by name |
| Inspect inputs             | `model_schema_get` (always before `model_run`)                                                                                                     |
| Generate                   | `model_run` (`dry_run=true` prices a batch; `wait=false` in waves under the concurrency ceiling, relaunching 429-refused ones), then `jobs_wait`   |
