## What it does

The skill lays out how to hold a look steady across Scenario generations. Techniques are ordered by durability: a baseline prompt with a delta, reference images, a style reference, a control map, a trained model. Seed reuse sits outside that ladder — it repeats one image's roll, it does not carry identity.

The core move is baseline-plus-delta. Write out everything that must not change — subject geometry, camera height and angle, size and position in frame, lighting direction, palette by name or hex, embedded text — then put the single change in a final clause. Keep the prompt byte-identical between runs and edit only that clause. Attach the approved baseline as a reference image and state each reference's role in the prompt. Wrap an array only where the schema says `array: true`: a bare string is dropped silently and the run succeeds without it.

Look at the baseline first with `asset_display`. You cannot enumerate a shade you have not seen. The skill points at sibling skills — `scenario`, `scenario-model-training`, `scenario-identity-library`, `scenario-asset-analysis` — and asks the user to install a missing one. Check the model with `model_schema_get`: on some models the reference field is a single scalar file, which makes it img2img rather than a reference slot. At the default strength a plain-background anchor overrides a whole-scene delta, so a scene set needs a true reference field.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-consistency -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-consistency/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-consistency/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-consistency -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-consistency/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-consistency -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-consistency/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-consistency
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-consistency/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-consistency -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-consistency
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-consistency/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-consistency -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**

## When to use it
- keep one character identical across a scene set
- build a character turnaround from an approved reference
- animate video from references without losing the face
- show one product from several angles without shape drift
- hold a single style across an icon set

## Example prompts
- Make variant two look exactly like variant one except for the jacket colour
- Use the approved shot as a reference and generate the same character in three new scenes
- Build an icon set in this style from the sample

# Scenario Consistency

## Overview

"Make variant two look exactly like variant one except for X" is the most repeated creative ask, and
agents reach for seeds, which do not solve it. Consistency comes from what you feed the model, in
rising order of durability: a prompt baseline, reference images, a style reference, a control map, a
trained model. The same references carry a character into video. Connection and the core loop: see
the `scenario` skill; training: see `scenario-model-training`; creating and filing a named character
or prop library, with its sheets: see `scenario-identity-library`. If a sibling skill named here is
missing from your available skills, ask the user to install it
(`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`); unattended, proceed from tool schemas and
flag the gap.

## Quick reference

| Technique                  | Holds                             | Effort | Reach for it when                     |
| -------------------------- | --------------------------------- | ------ | ------------------------------------- |
| Baseline-plus-delta prompt | identity, framing, palette | low | always, it is the floor |
| Reference image input | identity and world | low | a set of scenes or angles |
| Style reference input | rendering style, not a subject | low | icon sets, UI, an illustration series |
| `asset_detect` control map | pose, geometry, composition | medium | the layout must not move |
| Reference-to-video | identity through motion | medium | the character or product has to move |
