# scenario-audio

A skill for creating and handling sound on Scenario over MCP: music, SFX, voiceover, transcription. Useful when the agent should hand back an MP3 or WAV, not an image.

## What it does

The skill walks an agent through the whole audio loop on Scenario: match a model to the job described in plain words, read that model's input schema, send the run, wait for the job, play the result and download the file. The catalog spans music, short effects and voice, plus models that add sound to a silent video. Cutting, splitting, extracting and transcribing go through separate utilities with fixed ids.

The content is mostly reference tables plus worked examples. Each family has its own contract: music, sound effects, speech and dialogue. Delivery tags differ from one voice model to the next, so `[whispers]` or `<sigh>` is right for one and wrong for another; a tag in the wrong grammar can end up read aloud. Voice cloning and re-voicing a recording are covered too.

This skill leans on the base `scenario` skill for connection setup and the general generation loop. If that one is missing, its author suggests fetching it with `npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`. A Scenario MCP connection has to be configured first, or none of this runs.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-audio -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-audio/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-audio/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-audio -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-audio/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-audio -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-audio/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-audio
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-audio/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-audio -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-audio
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-audio/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-audio -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/scenario-audio/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- produce background music for a scene or trailer
- generate short effects for a game
- voice a script with a chosen voice, emotion and pacing
- re-voice a recording or clone a voice from a short clip
- lay a finished track over a silent video

## Example prompts
- Make a game sound effect: a heavy wooden chest creaking open, no music, no reverb
- I need a background bed for a menu screen — dark ambient, about two minutes
- Read this text with a voice from the schema, show me the player, then download the MP3

# Scenario Audio Generation

## Overview

Scenario generates audio through the same loop as images. The live catalog covers three generation
lanes (music, sound effects, voice/speech) plus video-to-audio soundtrack models and audio
utilities. Connection and the core generation loop: see the `scenario` skill. If a sibling skill
named here is missing from your available skills, ask the user to install it
(`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`); unattended, proceed from tool schemas and
flag the gap.
