# scenario-asset-analysis

Extracts style prompts and control maps from Scenario assets, plus searches catalogs by similarity. Helpful for QA reviews on image batches and conditioning downstream models.

## What it does

The skill provides four analytical tools (`asset_caption`, `asset_describe`, `asset_analyze`, `asset_detect`) alongside `search` scoped to assets. `asset_caption` produces captions at specified detail levels, while `asset_describe` extracts reusable style prompts. For open-ended reviews, `asset_analyze` accepts up to 10 images alongside text inputs in one request, cutting down turn counts when grading large drops against an art brief.

Conditioning maps rely on `asset_detect`, covering modalities such as canny, depth, and pose. Background removal is enabled by default (`remove_background: true`). If a control map needs the full context of the frame, set this parameter to `false` explicitly.

Every operation inspects rendered pixels rather than raw source data. It cannot reliably check layered vectors or verify exact hex values from SVG files. Because runs consume Scenario credits, pass `dry_run: true` inside `parameters` first to review pricing before dispatching work.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-asset-analysis -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-asset-analysis/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-asset-analysis/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-asset-analysis -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-asset-analysis/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-asset-analysis -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-asset-analysis/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-asset-analysis
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-asset-analysis/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-asset-analysis -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-asset-analysis
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-asset-analysis/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-asset-analysis -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/scenario-asset-analysis/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- extract style descriptions and promptable synthesis for style matching
- generate depth, pose, or canny control maps using `asset_detect`
- review generated asset batches against brand guidelines up to 10 images at once
- locate lookalikes or duplicate assets via visual similarity search

## Example prompts
- Run `asset_analyze` on these 10 asset IDs to check if they match our brand brief
- Generate a depth map for `asset_123` via `asset_detect` with `remove_background: false`
- Find assets visually similar to `asset_456` in our Scenario workspace

# Scenario Asset Analysis

## Overview

Four tools extract captions, style descriptions, analysis, or control maps from existing assets:
three fixed-purpose, one open-ended. With `search` (default toolset) they answer the questions that
come after a batch lands, which is where most of the work actually is: is this on brief, what look
is this, what does this show, what can the next model condition on, where did last week's approved
version go.

None of them are in the default toolset. Get schemas with `scenario_tools_search`, then run each
through the executor matching the returned `permission`: `read` uses `scenario_tool_execute_read`,
`write` uses `scenario_tool_execute_write`. Use that live result for both estimates and runs; do not
infer the lane from an unchanged input asset. Put the tool name in `name` and its inputs under
`parameters`. Or reconnect with `?toolsets=full`. Connection and scope: see the `scenario` skill in
this repo. If a sibling skill named here is missing from your available skills, ask the user to
install it (`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`); unattended, proceed from tool
schemas and flag the gap.
