## What it does

scenario-3d connects Scenario's 3D generation API to your code. Create models from text (text-to-3D), from one or multiple images (image-to-3D), or edit an existing mesh. Outputs GLB, FBX, OBJ, STL, and VOX formats. The skill integrates with multiple model families: Meshy, Rodin, Sparc3D for generation, plus proprietary LLM-based models GPT-6 Astra 3D and Claude Opus 5.5 3D for photo reconstruction. Features include PBR retexturing, remeshing to a target polygon budget, UV unwrapping, automatic rigging for bipeds and quadrupeds, and animation retargeting.

The workflow is MCP-based: recommend a model for your task, inspect its schema (inputs, limits), run generation, wait for the async result, preview the mesh in a 3D viewer, download for Unity, Unreal, Godot or Blender. Requires an active Scenario account with credits; pricing depends on the model family and parameters (effort level, polygon target). Text-to-3D is cheaper but gives less control; the recommended path is to generate a concept image first, then run image-to-3D on it for better art direction.

## Requirements
- Works with: Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-3d -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/scenario-3d/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/scenario-3d/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-3d -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/scenario-3d/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-3d -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/scenario-3d/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install scenario-labs/skills scenario-3d
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/scenario-3d/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-3d -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills --path skills/scenario-3d
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/scenario-3d/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill scenario-3d -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/scenario-labs/skills/tree/HEAD/skills/scenario-3d/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- Generate a 3D prop or character model from text or a concept image
- Reconstruct a 3D object from multiple photos or renders
- Remesh to hit a polygon budget for game engines
- Auto-rig a character for animation
- Retexture a finished mesh with PBR materials

## Example prompts
- Generate a concept image of a dragon in mountains, then create a 3D model from it with a 30k polygon limit for the game
- I uploaded five photos of our wooden treasure chest — reconstruct a 3D model with PBR textures to export into Blender
- Remesh this model down to 15k polygons and add a biped rig

# Scenario 3D Asset Workflows

## Overview

Scenario runs text-to-3D, image-to-3D, and 3D-to-3D models through the same MCP loop as images.
Generate a concept image first, then run image-to-3D: it has a larger catalog and more art direction
than text-to-3D (`txt23d`). Per-family contracts: `scenario-meshy`, `scenario-rodin`,
`scenario-sparc3d`. Walkable scenes and Gaussian splats: `scenario-3d-worlds`. PBR retexture of a
finished mesh or scene: `scenario-patina-retexture`. Inside Blender, through the Scenario for
Blender extension: `scenario-blender`. Connection and the core loop: the `scenario` skill. If a
sibling skill named here is missing from your available skills, ask the user to install it
(`npx skills add scenario-labs/skills --skill <name>`); unattended, proceed from tool schemas and
flag the gap.
