## What it does

This skill equips the assistant with syntax definitions and structure rules for SAP Core Data Services in Eclipse ADT. It includes patterns for both legacy `DEFINE VIEW` statements and modern `DEFINE VIEW ENTITY` definitions. The agent references required annotations such as `@AccessControl.authorizationCheck` and handles currency or quantity mappings to avoid `SD_CDS_ENTITY105` compiler failures.

Beyond basic data definitions, the material covers row-level security using Data Control Language (`DEFINE ROLE`) with `pfcg_auth` checks. It details path expressions across associations, input parameters via `WITH PARAMETERS`, and session variables like `$session.client` or `$session.user`.

Release targets matter here. Systems on 7.40 lack table functions entirely, and trying to create view entities on releases older than 7.55 will trigger a syntax failure. For older environments, stick to classic CDS views with a valid `@AbapCatalog.sqlViewName`.

## When to use it
- define CDS view entities without generating separate database SQL views
- configure currency and quantity semantics to prevent SD_CDS_ENTITY105 errors
- implement access control logic using DCL and pfcg_auth checks
- model associations with explicit cardinality rules
- pass input parameters to CDS views using WITH PARAMETERS
