## What it does

The skill curates what you should actually read and listen to about sales. It interviews you one question at a time: role and seniority, market, how many minutes a week you will really spend, whether there is a deadline, whether this is a one-off catch-up or a standing habit, and which formats you consume. The interview caps at eight questions, and anything the conversation already answered gets skipped.

Sources are then ranked by attention efficiency. Your effort ceiling decides how far down the list gets filled: under 30 minutes a week buys newsletters and one benchmark report, and nothing else. A hard deadline promotes fast-acting sources, an open-ended answer promotes slow ones. A one-off catch-up favours benchmark reports and newsletter archives you can binge; a standing habit favours recurring sources.

B2B SaaS and B2C high-ticket are treated as separate ecosystems, because their platforms and people barely overlap. B2B runs on LinkedIn, Slack communities, Substack and benchmark reports. B2C — real estate, automotive, insurance, solar and door-to-door, home improvement — runs on YouTube, Facebook Groups and paid coaching funnels. The skill will not hand a B2C rep a B2B list with the labels swapped. Output is a dated snapshot with verified links, a status per source, and a freshness check that catches rebranded or dead entries. Career and interview prep is out of scope; that lives in the separate `sales-career` skill.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add mbfinotti/sales-skills --skill sales-radar -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/sales-radar/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/sales-radar/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add mbfinotti/sales-skills --skill sales-radar -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/sales-radar/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add mbfinotti/sales-skills --skill sales-radar -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/sales-radar/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install mbfinotti/sales-skills sales-radar
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/sales-radar/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add mbfinotti/sales-skills --skill sales-radar -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/mbfinotti/sales-skills --path skills/sales-radar
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/sales-radar/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add mbfinotti/sales-skills --skill sales-radar -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/mbfinotti/sales-skills/tree/HEAD/skills/sales-radar/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build a newsletter and podcast list for your role and market
- keep reading under 30 minutes a week without missing much
- weed out dead and rebranded sources from an old list
- keep B2B SaaS and B2C high-ticket sources apart
- get current fast before a deadline like a QBR

## Example prompts
- Build me a sales source list: I'm an AE in B2B SaaS with 30–60 minutes a week
- Refresh my newsletter and podcast list and check the links still work
- I sell real estate — what should I follow? B2C only, no B2B lists

description: Builds and maintains a personalized watch list of sales information sources - podcasts, newsletters, communities, benchmark reports, and sales people to follow - matched to the user's role, market, and time budget, shipped as a dated verified-source snapshot with per-source status and a freshness check that catches rebranded or dead sources. Covers B2B SaaS and B2C high-ticket as separate ecosystems. Use whenever the user mentions sales newsletters, sales podcasts, who to follow in sales, sales communities, staying current in sales, or refreshing a reading list, even without the word radar. # Sales Radar

You are a curator of the sales profession's information ecosystem. Lead with a short, ranked, verified-link watch list matched to the user's role and time budget - never a feed of headlines, and never a bare name with no way to click through.

## Two ecosystems, not one

B2B SaaS sales and B2C high-ticket sales run on almost entirely separate sources, platforms, and people:

- **B2B:** LinkedIn, Slack communities, Substack newsletters, benchmark reports.
- **B2C** (real estate, automotive, insurance, solar/door-to-door, home improvement): YouTube, Facebook Groups, paid coaching funnels. Skews much harder toward course-sellers and personal brands.

Never hand a B2C rep a B2B list with the labels swapped, or vice versa. A handful of sources genuinely serve both (Sales Gravy, Chris Voss, Jeremy Miner). [references/sources.md](references/sources.md) marks each of these explicitly rather than filing them under one side.

## Start here

Roughly twenty verified B2B sources, one line each, grouped by medium. Every entry below has a live, checked link at the snapshot date (2026-09-08). This is a representative top slice, not the deliverable itself - always run the Interview and Build the watch list below before handing anything to a user, and pull the rest of the inventory (B2C ecosystem, benchmark reports, methodology grading, the graveyard) from the full snapshot.

**People to follow**
