## What it does

The skill loads when you add or audit payment logic in Roblox: a Game Pass, a Developer Product, a subscription, a private server, a Creator Rewards product decision, or a purchase eligibility check. It ships a quick reference plus `references/full.md` with purchase flows and failure handling.

The rule it keeps pushing: prompt from the client, grant value only from server-owned code. Passes need one server-owned ID-to-benefit registry, and join plus purchase refresh share the same idempotent benefit path. Developer Products are repeatable consumables granted through a server-owned receipt handler, either `ProcessReceipt` or `BindReceiptHandler` with `Enum.ReceiptType.DeveloperProduct`. `PromptProductPurchaseFinished` is not purchase confirmation.

Failed receipts stay `NotProcessedYet`, and retries depend on the receipt API you picked, not on an invented timer. For eligibility-sensitive purchases the skill has you check `PolicyService` and current Roblox guidance. When a paid-random-item restriction applies, offer the documented choices: earnable rewards, a known non-random sequence, or direct purchase. Hiding or blocking the feature by default is the wrong move. A receipt handler existing is not proof it works. Look at who owns it, whether the grant is durable and idempotent, and what happens for unknown products or absent players.

## Install

### Claude Code (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TabooHarmony/roblox-brain --skill roblox-monetization -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/roblox-monetization/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/roblox-monetization/

### Codex

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TabooHarmony/roblox-brain --skill roblox-monetization -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/roblox-monetization/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Cursor

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TabooHarmony/roblox-brain --skill roblox-monetization -a cursor
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/roblox-monetization/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install TabooHarmony/roblox-brain roblox-monetization
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/roblox-monetization/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TabooHarmony/roblox-brain --skill roblox-monetization -a gemini-cli
```

2. **Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/TabooHarmony/roblox-brain --path skills/design/roblox-monetization
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/roblox-monetization/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### OpenCode

**Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add TabooHarmony/roblox-brain --skill roblox-monetization -a opencode
```

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/TabooHarmony/roblox-brain/tree/HEAD/skills/design/roblox-monetization/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- grant an item after a Developer Product purchase without double-granting
- debug a ProcessReceipt that never credits the buyer
- route Game Pass and join-time refresh through one benefit path
- check purchase eligibility with PolicyService
- handle a paid-random-item restriction without blocking the feature

## Example prompts
- add a Game Pass for faster resource gain, grant it from server code only
- our Developer Product purchase does not grant, check ProcessReceipt and retries
- audit our random item shop against the paid random item policy

# roblox monetization

## When to Load

Load when adding a Game Pass, Developer Product, subscription, private server, Creator Rewards-related product decision, or purchase eligibility check.

## Quick Reference

- Prompt purchases from the client, but grant value only from server-owned code.
- Passes: one server-owned ID→benefit registry; join and purchase refresh use the same idempotent benefit path. Full.md §2a.
- Developer Products: repeatable consumables. Grant through a server-owned receipt handler, either `ProcessReceipt` or `BindReceiptHandler` with `Enum.ReceiptType.DeveloperProduct`. `PromptProductPurchaseFinished` is not purchase confirmation.
- Failed receipts remain `NotProcessedYet`; retries depend on the chosen receipt API, not an invented timer. See full.md.
