# rivet-sdk

A skill that walks the agent through building a server-side Zoom integration with Rivet: modules, OAuth, webhooks, deployment. Useful when you'd rather not wire the API by hand.

## What it does

The skill lays out the order of work for a server-side Zoom integration built on Rivet. First the agent checks whether Rivet fits the REST, webhook, auth and deployment needs. Then it splits the integration into modules: app configuration, OAuth, API clients, webhook handlers and business workflow handlers.

Next comes the smallest step — one authenticated API call and one webhook receiver. Multi-module flows only after that. Deployment constraints stay explicit throughout, especially Lambda-style receivers and environment variable handling.

Reference files ship with it: a full guide, a Rivet overview, architecture and lifecycle notes, getting-started and multi-client examples, and a common-issues page. Debugging follows a checklist — app credentials, token refresh, webhook signature handling, module wiring, framework version drift. If your integration isn't on Rivet, this skill won't help; it covers that framework and nothing else.

## Install

### Codex (native platform)

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill rivet-sdk -a codex
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.agents/skills/rivet-sdk/SKILL.md` — For all projects use ~/.agents/skills/

### Claude Code

1. **Skills CLI (Vercel)**
```bash
npx skills add openai/plugins --skill rivet-sdk -a claude-code
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `~/.claude/skills/rivet-sdk/SKILL.md` — Copy the whole skill folder; for one project use .claude/skills/rivet-sdk/

### Cursor

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.cursor/skills/rivet-sdk/SKILL.md` — Cursor also reads .agents/skills/ and .claude/skills/

### GitHub Copilot

1. **GitHub CLI**
```bash
gh skill install openai/plugins rivet-sdk
```

2. **Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.github/skills/rivet-sdk/SKILL.md`

### Gemini CLI

**Platform CLI**
```bash
gemini skills install https://github.com/openai/plugins --path plugins/zoom/skills/rivet-sdk
```

### Windsurf (Devin Desktop)

**Manually: put the files in place**
- File: `.devin/skills/rivet-sdk/SKILL.md` — The legacy .windsurf/skills/ path still works

### Claude.ai

**Claude.ai**
- Zip the folder and upload it in Settings → Capabilities → Skills

Where a file is given instead of a command, copy the files from the source to that path: https://github.com/openai/plugins/tree/HEAD/plugins/zoom/skills/rivet-sdk/SKILL.md

## When to use it
- build a server-side Zoom integration on Rivet
- split an integration into OAuth, API and webhook modules
- get a first authenticated API call and webhook receiver working
- handle Lambda-style receivers and environment variables
- debug a failing token refresh, webhook signature or framework version

## Example prompts
- Help me plan a Zoom integration on Rivet — which modules do I need for OAuth and webhooks?
- Build the smallest authenticated Zoom API call and a webhook receiver with Rivet
- My webhook fails signature verification — walk me through the Rivet debugging checklist

# Zoom Rivet SDK

Use this skill when building a server-side Zoom integration with Rivet rather than hand-rolled API and webhook plumbing.

## Workflow

1. Confirm Rivet is the right abstraction for the integration’s REST, webhook, auth, and deployment needs.
2. Model the modules: app configuration, OAuth, API clients, webhook handlers, and business workflow handlers.
3. Implement the smallest authenticated API call and webhook receiver before composing multi-module flows.
4. Keep deployment constraints explicit, especially Lambda-style receivers and environment variable handling.
5. Debug by checking app credentials, token refresh, webhook signature handling, module wiring, and framework version drift.
