# resume-tailor

This skill reshapes a resume for a particular job while keeping the candidate’s claims accurate. Use it when one base resume needs a role-specific version.

## What it does

The skill compares a job posting with the candidate’s resume and changes the emphasis for that role. It can rewrite the professional summary, reorder skills, move more relevant experience higher, and lead with the strongest matching bullet points. Keywords may be added when they describe work the candidate actually did.

The suggested flow starts with the job requirements, followed by an audit of each resume section. You can use `job-description-analyzer` first, then ask for edits to the summary, skills, experience, education, certifications, or projects. It can produce several targeted versions and a plan showing which bullets to foreground. Fabricated skills and achievements are outside its intended use, so the source resume still needs a factual review.
